We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly that they really made the stay that much better. Beautiful location with a great view of the lake and very walkable to town.

Very disappointing
When I booked the room, I knew it would be on the small side, what I wasn't expecting was an attic closet style room with a bath. The furniture was in terrible shape, everything was worn looking. The saving grace was that the room had air conditioning. Not really 4-star quality hotel, yes they technically offer the services required, but the hotel hasn't been kept well, and that must be why the keep the lobby and hallways so dark. Whatever you do, do not book the Single/Business Room. It is not worth the stay.

Do not stay here. Better choices available nearby.
1. I was double-charged the city and the per nite charge and they refused to reimburse me despite Hotels.Com's interventions. Hotels.com handled this situation well and gave me a coupon to use in the future to compensate me. 2. The drapery rod and drapes fell down on my first nite. After reporting it to the front desk I was told that it was fixed. The morning of checkout it fell again, hitting me on the head and breaking my glasses. Fortunately I have a hard head. Upon checkout the manager could not have been less interested (he suggested that i find an optician. On Easter Sunday). No sunglasses for the rest of my trip. Not happy w/this hotel.

I stayed here by myself and felt safe and well cared-for during my stay. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. It was wonderful being in a small, secluded-feeling neighborhood, with Eglise Saint Sulpice just a block away. Nearby shops and restaurants were lovely, and I enjoyed my time here immensely. Merci beaucoup, Hotel Odeon Saint Germain!!

Overall a comfy place
The hotel was lovely. The breakfast was sufficient. Our bed was comfortable. Shower had good pressure. The toilet seat was broken and lid was off with its parts laying on toilet lid.

Thank you for your stay.All room size are duly noted, our double rooms are from 11 sqm until 18 sqm, our old building from 1530's do not provide any large space such as the modern building.Our designer " Jacques Garcia" made some of the most beautifull hotel around the world, nut i guess decor is just a matter of taste.

This hotel was in an ideal location, convenient to shops, restaurants and the metro. Room was small but very comfortable. I would definitely stray the Odeon again.

The service was exceptional! The front staff were ready to go above and beyond to help me figure out my travel plans due to the recent general strike. I was also upgraded at no cost. The hotel has a very historic/classic French feeling. The rooms are clean and immaculate. The breakfast is perfect. The location can’t be beat very close to cozy restaurants and cafes. I will stay here again for sure!

Wonderful location and quaint property. Only complaint is my room was dark at night with low lights only in the room. Bathroom normal lighting which helped.

After a long trip to get here, and incredibly sick, I needed to check in and sleep. I put the do not disturb sign on my door and was rudely awakened by hotel staff. After yelling not to come in(I was genuinely scared), they STILL tried to come in saying he had my laundry. I went out the next day and again, put the do not disturb sign in the door as I had my personal effects out (as there is nowhere to put anything), and came back and the room was made.

Room was very small even by European standards so was the shower. Staff was nice and friendly but all I spoke with had trouble with English so there was difficulty in communicating. Breakfast was buffet style and good but selection was limited. The location to the Metro and St Germain sights and restaurants was excellent.

This hotel is in a fantastic location! Walking distance to all monuments, museums, Luxembourg Gardens and the metro. It’s all about location! I was very pleased with the size of my room, considering most hotel rooms in Paris are very cozy. The bathroom was very spacious with a great amount of counter space. The toilet looked clean, but had an unclean smell. We had to request wash cloths as there were none available in the room. I usually travel with my own disposable cloth, however my adult son does not. The staff was very pleasant, but I’m a pretty easy guest who doesn’t ask for much. Except ice for my water. Yes, I like ice cold water and I drink water all day long. After a full day of walking and sightseeing, I needed to rehydrate. So, each night I asked for a bucket of ice. The night staff seemed puzzled at my request. Ice is not popular in France...I get it. But, it’s available, so make the exception. The first night I asked for ice, I was given a individual glass size, the second night I was given half of a champagne bucket, which gave me to much joy. The third night, the machine was broken and the last and forth night, I got a quarter of a bucket. The staff that night said “it was the best he can do”. I was not please with that statement, as the goal should be to accommodate all guests needs this way, they will return. While I don’t want to make a big deal about ice, it’s honestly my biggest request when staying at hotels.
