The owner takes care of the luggage on arrival and departure. Ideally located in Saint Germain des Prés in the famous rue Bonaparte 50 m from the church. It is calm and bright and overlooks a paved courtyard. All the historic centers of interest can be visited on foot. The metro station is a 2 minute walk away. Many buses nearby take you to all the touristic places in Paris. 2 large supermarkets and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity of the apartment. The king size bed can be transformed into 2 separate mattresses. Bathroom with bathtub and shower. Kitchenette with microwave, coffee machine, kettle, washing drying machine Access to WIFI and TV set. In summer, air conditioning is not necessary due to the number of drafty windows and the presence of a fan. Notre séjour était culturel avec un programme dense de visites d'expositions. Quant au logement proposé, hormis les 4 étages sans ascenseur, une cage d'escalier vétuste, il est confortable, accueillant - la présence des livres, les sources lumineuses, la bonne qualité des sanitaires, l'ample dressing, y étant pour beaucoup. Le coin cuisine est très exigu et ne peut prétendre qu'à préparer des petits déjeuners, la table et les chaises sont de fait inadaptées à la prise de repas. L'appartement tient d'une grande chambre pour deux personnes dans laquelle il est plaisant de se réveiller et de se coucher... ##### Danielle D. Since the studio is on the fourth floor, she first showed us the way up the stairs and went down to carry our two suitcases up the lift. We walked through apartment and it was just as she described and the pictures posted. The bed was medium soft and the square pillows not too hard. My neck injury requires softer pillows, so I was happy. Wife loved the little kitchenette with two burners, microwave and small washer dryer combo. The weather in France in I’d October was warmer than usual, everybody said. It only rained once. We were lucky. Our excursions took us the Louvre, Eiffel, Monmartre, Montpasse, Versailles. We frequented The Smiths Bakery and restaurants in the Latin Quarter. But le Petite de Benoit nearby was favorite. Annie brought over croissants one morning and we chatted a bit. She wanted to make sure we were doing ok. I highly recommend her place. ##### Jay G. La propriétaire Annie, est une hôte très chaleureuse attentionnées et sympathique, disponible au besoin pour des demandes ponctuelles. Elle habite tout à côté. Elle prend en charge vos valises à l'arrivée et les monte par l'ascenseur, situé dans une autre partie de l'immeuble, jusqu'à l'appartement situé au 4è étage, ce qui est bien apprécié. On se sent comme des invités et non comme des clients, vraiment agréable. Nous recommandons vraiment cette adresse et y retournerons sans hésiter lors d'une prochaine visite à Paris. ##### Luc L. L'appartement était bien chaud dans le grand froid de l'hiver, le lit était vraiement confortable, on n'a jamais été ennuyé avec beaucoup de livres dans les bibliothèques. It is 4 flights of stairs, but this is Paris, and Annie taking the luggage upstairs and down via a separate elevator was much appt. I have had to drag luggage up stairs before at other places, and was very glad she was able to do that at check in and check out. Also Annie was lovely, helpful and very responsive. Somehow we missed that this was a fourth floor walk-up so for a couple in our 70s, it was a workout that we quickly adjusted to. :) . To make it so much more pleasant, Annie brought our bags up and down for us - so no complaints. Oh, and we loved the combo washer-dryer! Being able to do laundry was a big plus. If you’re looking for an apartment incredibly conveniently located, this is for you. We spent a week here and saw lots by foot and lots via the metro. ##### Mary B. It is within walking distance to many iconic sites in Paris…Jardin du Luxembourg , Eiffel Tower, Norte Dame, Musée D’Orsay, the Seine, many sites on the right bank, etc etc. There are two metro stations only a 5 minute walk away for sites further afield. There are numerous restaurants both obscure and familiar, French and more exotic ( Japanese,Korean, etc). There is tons of shopping including art galleries, clothing boutiques and of course a few grocery stores and boulangeries. The list can go on with many cathedrals worth visiting as well as museums. The apartment it self is cozy with an equipped but small kitchen that is against the wall in the hallway which leads to the front door and the toilet portion of the bathroom. The separate bathroom is just that a bath/tub and sink. It is off of the bedroom which also includes a table and two chairs for dining. Regarding opinion of comfort and agreeability, the apartment could use better lighting, the bathroom needs a step ladder or hand rail for getting into the tub as it is quite high off the floor and lastly the chairs at the dining table could be more comfortable. Ask for photos and video before booking. 1500 characters cannot cover the issues. (READ FULL REVIEW IN PHOTOS)•The stairwell is unsafe, poorly lit and dirty--Victorian era Death Stairs. The host discloses 80 steps but fails to mention the stairwell is a narrow,1800s servant's stairwell. It is not the building's main stairwell. -The treads are very shallow and slippery. Near the rail you cannot fit your full foot. I was barely able to angle my full 6.5/37 shoe on the outside tread edge. -The steep risers are an uneven height. I caught the sole of my shoe a few times when I misjudged the height going down. -A few of the treads are loose and move if you hit the wrong spot.•Avoid if you are tall, broad or heavy. The shower head area is about a foot wide. If you are tall, even the tub will be difficult to use without hitting your head because of the angled roof. •Avoid if you don't want to be fraudulently assessed charges for damages. Beware the host does not provide a check in sheet, so you better photograph or video everything. •Avoid if your suitcases are not airline overhead bin size and you have more than one bag per person, or the host will complain. •Avoid if your flight leaves before 10 in the morning, or your bags are left at the bottom of the servant’s stairwell, essentially outside, and out of your security. My time in this apartment was wonderful, starting with the reservation process. Annie was kind and responsive and readily answered any questions I had before arrival. She greeted me warmly, brought my baggage to the unit, and was available and helpful throughout my stay. The studio itself, with its book-lined shelves, is fantastic. There is a well-equipped kitchenette in which I wish I’d done some cooking, but I had too much to do and see every day! The sitting area is very comfortable- it was a nice place to get ready while enjoying my coffee, which Annie kindly provided. There is a great deal of natural light, and the occasional sound of bells was quite beautiful. It was extremely hot in Paris during my stay but that was not a problem as there is a very powerful tower fan that cooled down the room very effectively. The bed was extremely comfortable after hours of exploring the city. Also, the walk-in closet offered a great deal of storage space. There are even umbrellas in case it rains- a very nice touch. As others have noted, the location cannot be beaten. The Seine, métro, and several useful bus routes are all quite close. I always find it difficult to leave Paris, but this time it was especially so because of how much I loved this spot! I really hope to return there someday. Merci beaucoup, Annie! ##### Angela T. The host, Annie, is a delight and made our stay so pleasant! The apartment is on the 4th floor, but Annie helped us by bringing our luggage by elevator at both our arrival and departure. The apartment is so comfortable and had everything we could have needed during our stay. Lastly, I can't say enough good things about the location of this apartment. We loved the neighborhood, and you are within easy walking distance of so many attractions! Also there are several Metro stations close by. The location is excellent - centrally located in the 6th Arrondissement and just a short walk to Metro lines #4 and #10, which made getting around the city incredibly easy. There are several great restaurants, a grocery/housewares store, and a boulangerie all within a five-minute walk or less.The apartment itself was clean, quiet, and felt very safe. While compact and up four flights of stairs, it had everything we needed. It served as a comfortable base for exploring the city as well as taking day trips away from Paris. Annie, our host, was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She provided clear instructions, made us feel right at home when she welcomed us, gave great local recommendations, and checked-in to make sure that everything was alright.
