"The property was incredibly well-maintained. All staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. A number of highlights, including the “Looking for Monkeys” tour and eco-adventure. Would highly recommend the complimentary activities, including smoothie making, cooking demonstration, kayaking, pickleball, and ebikes. "

"Loved the food, staff, pools and beaches. Only critique is this, the game room isn't up to your resorts standards. Get a decent pool table, a real ping pong table. A card table, a dart board and maybe some TV screens. "
"I enjoyed my stay at the El Mangroove. The property was lovely and the staff was friendly, kind, attentive and helpful. Look forward to returning to CR in the future. "
"Booked this vacation and was very skeptical given the extremely low price we paid. Was nothing but absolutely delighted. DO NOT listen to any of the reviews which are negative - clearly they are people who will never be happy. Resort is beautiful and very tastefully done. Plenty of poolside chairs and space. They have separate areas for children/families (with games and things for kids to do) and then the adult area which has bars and poolside service. The resort is a bit understaffed due...

"Reception is excellent, fastest check in, in quite a while. Car rentals are available onsite. We had dinner & breakfast here before our journey south on the Costa Rica West Coast. There are a lot of family's that use this place as it is very close to LIR airport.
The room was spacious, bathroom clean but starting to show signs of needing updating.
All the staff that we encountered were fabulous. About the only complaint was that to get a bottle of water you had to pay $5 USD for a quart of local water or $9 USD for the name brands !"
