The pictures do not do this place justice. It is absolutely beautiful- trees and vines everywhere. We went at the end of rainy season (early November) and everything is so lush and green. We saw wildlife including iguanas, birds, raccoons, and even skunks. The staff here is amazing. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating, and most spoke decent English. Hebert is the best bartender (and his wife just had a baby!), Steven and Greyvin also took great care of us. The food is great. They have a large variety for every meal, so you will definitely be able to find something you like. If you get homesick for American food, they have a snack station open most of the day that has things like burgers and hotdogs, but the local food is excellent. They always have pasta available for lunch and dinner, plus several meat options, usually a kind of potato, rice, salad, etc. They have one sit down restaurant, and then a tapas style reservation you can make for dinner. We tried both while there, but really I just preferred the buffet. There are no doors or windows in the kitchen/dining area; it’s all open so you can see the greenery/wildlife. One of the few negative things would be the mosquitos (which obviously they have no control of.) Make sure you bring bug spray or you will get eaten alive, especially at dusk and evening. Also, we only got 1 washcloth every day, which was kind of annoying during showering. They give 4 towels, but 1 washcloth every day. Overall, great!
