Check in was a mess. One line for check in and it took an hour. No one to greet you with a little bottle of water or tropical drink. No one to welcome you other than clerk you waited so long for. Two other counters open for CHECK OUT. No one was checking out at 4:30 in the afternoon but they were not allowed to check in. Poor management there. Also there is NO Concierge on the property. Odd for a resort of this size.

Private beach next to the hotel was pleasant .The smoke from the fire next to the hotel was annoying.

Property is lovely. Good food and campus is quiet at night. Always space for pool or beach. Beach isn’t swimable. It’s ok for nice walk through… ankles deep. Mangrove. Little farther from the main town so you would have to make do with onsite facilities. Strongly advise car to venture off daily.

The property is not close to anything other than a gift shop it may be a good idea to bring in one or two other convenience stores. Also the property is smoke free but people smoke outside and also on the beach it would be good to have some designated smoking areas for people who do smoke.

The cleaning service started really early and was very loud....slamming of doors, etc. I know they have a lot of rooms to clean, but I've stayed in many hotels and it's not been like this. The staff was friendly, the place was clean. The restaurant situation was a bit confusing as we couldn't quite figure out when specific restaurants were open.

We were not prompted to put down a credit card at check-in for incidentals. So when we went to get a drink at the pool bar, we had to pay by credit card. A few minutes later, I got a fraud alert from my credit card company that a $28,000 charge had been attempted. Had to cancel the credit card on the first day of our trip. Room missing amenities like hair dryer and body lotion. Unable to call front desk as room phone did not work. No book trading library. No concessions offered for inconveniences.

Great hotel to park yourself for a few days between Panama City and moving on to some other place. Pool area is great and the entire staff is so friendly. My room was fantastic (king with jungle view)

Stopped for 2 nights on the way to the airport after 2-month stay further west, had resided at the Cassa Bonita nearby last winter. Great location to the city, wonderful pools, check-in was smooth. Westen always has great breakfast buffets!! The only issue was that 1 front desk individual, when asked to break 2 $20's into 5's (for use as tips), flatly said not possible, offered no advice and then just walked away! Rude!! The lobby bar did assist. Would stay again, and recommend it.

The pools are fantastic. Lots of activities and music playing. Not all the restaurants were open so it limited our eating options. We didn’t know you could buy an all inclusive package. If you plan on eating and drinking at the property I would recommend buying it. The staff was extremely helpful and kind.

Across the board, incredibly poor service for a hotel of this caliber. The room, pool, and beach were all a bit dated but quite nice. Next time we’ll stay in town where we can eat at local restaurants and see the historic district.

Hotel was relatively clean and pool was nice. Beach was not something to visit hotel for as beach becomes. Rocky area during day. Hotel is very disorganized when it comes to hotel services and charges. They have events whom disturb sleep at night till 1am. If you are looking to sleep early for an event or tour not the perfect place to stay. Loud private events most weekends.

Although this was a large resort the beach was nearly deserted, and there were all types of huts and teepees so you could have a private area near the pool. The staff was amazing and the room was very well appointed. We had delicious meals at their restaurants, including an exceptional one at the Japanese option.

Gloria at the reception desk treated us like royalty. She appears to really like her job which was clearly demonstrated by how effortlessly she handled all of our questions and my husband’s silly dad jokes. Her friendliness and professionalism set the tone for our entire stay. Well done.

The property is beautiful. Right on the ocean with three pools. Amazing views. The downside was the limited food options and limited communication. We are not fluent in Spanish and most of the staff has limited English speaking. So for us, we need to improve our Spanish before returning.

Staff service was hit and miss, we had to call the lobby numerous times for towels as they would leave 2 bath towels only, the food is over priced for the quality. And they ran out of pool towels when the resort was 1/4 full
