Our family experienced a great trip to the beach! The location of Carillon Beach is fantastic! It is very accessible to Panama City, Seaside, Rosemary Beach, Seacrest Beach, and Alys Beach. All have great locations to eat and enjoy a visit.
We were disappointed with the Carillon Beach Inn. The main pool was absolutely awesome and was a mainstay for our family. The disappointment was in the rooms. The carpet was old and appeared very worn, the pull out bed was well used and the mattress had stains, the TV channels were with very poor reception on most HD channels. The kitchen did not have an oven but had a range top and the washer/dryer were in another common area on the floor you were on. I felt like we paid a premium price for the room and that some of these things should have been maintained or provided in a better way. After seeing the location we learned of two separate condo locations on property that we will rent in the future. Just from the outside and talking with other guests they seem much more modern and updated along with providing quality services in comparison to the price you pay for staying in the room. To access these two locations you have to use the Carillon Realty that is on location and not a part of the Inn.
We enjoyed the convenience of being right on the beach. We had a two queen room. It was divided by the bathroom and kitchen so it gave us some privacy for the other person. The staff was very polite. The price was right for the day.... Would definitely stay there again.
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel! The check in process was simple and the staff was very friendly. First impression of the room was great! Our room had 2 queen beds and a kitchenette with a nice sized kitchen. The kitchen even came with pots, pans, utensils, and a full size fridge. Our room had a private balcony overlooking the pool and ocean! The room was also very clean. The bathroom was also decent and a nice size.
In my opinion it is in the perfect location. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping places.
The only negative thing I have to say about the room, is that there was a large moisture spot right behind our door to the balcony. I'm sure it's because of humidity and it being right on the water. However it might need some looking into to prevent further damage inside the wall.
A lot of other reviewers mentioned elevator had no air...pretty sure they were right. However you are in there for less than a minute. Really not a deal breaker for me.
Will definitely stay here again!
Everything was absolutely wonderful until the day of checkout. That was when an overly anxious housekeeper woke us up at 8AM to ask if we were checking out. You would think communication between the housekeepers and the front desk could be a little better. It was a minor annoyance but still an annoyance.

Renting a privately owned condo was a great choice. The room was very clean, comfortable and a great price! It was my understanding, Origins was right on the beach. It isn't. The pictures showing the walkway to the beach are across the street on the back side of the hotel office. The Seahaven hotel is the one on the beach but I heard it wasn't as nice as Origins. Even with being a little disappointed we weren't right on the beach, it was not even a minute walk to the private access beach located across the street. The location of Origins was perfect in relation to all the attractions to do on PCB. When we return we definitely will book here again.
