Calypso is so close to so much! The pool was never crowded, the beach had plenty of room, and the property was well maintained. The main entry to the beach was stairs only. I think you could find a ramp at the far ends of the beach? We had a wagon and just toted it down the stairs, so it wasn’t a problem. It just required both adults to be there at the same time. Elevators were fast and we had no delays. Parking was easy and we didn’t have trouble finding a spot. We would definitely stay again! ##### Brooke N. It was within walking distance of many local attractions and restaurants. The condo was great, clean, airy and bright. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had all the necessary gadgets for cooking. There were even sand toys in the closet. There was a leak from the garbage disposal, someone came out that same day to fix it. Our 2 biggest issues were lack of storage, especially at the entrance of the condo. When coming in from the beach, there are a lot of sandy items, toys, shoes, chairs, umbrella's etc. There just isn't a place to put them and contain the sand. Also the bunk bed mattresses are very thin. As my daughter described it, it was like sleeping on a folded comforter on top of a piece of plywood. The mattress in the master suite was comfortable. Reading another persons review on how thin the blankets were, we did take our own and were glad we did, though there was a spare blanket in the master closet. The bed in master room was a little warn out, springs not good, we sunk to the middle when we got in it and it squeeked everytime we moved. Overall stay was great. Jul 31, 2023 Liked: Location, listing accuracy Disliked: Check-in, communication #### Vacasa has horrible customer service Calypso property was great. 2nd time that I have stayed with VRBO that Vacasa was the property manager. I won't stay again. There is no local host and no one in 4 different phone calls could answer the building location issue. This time took over an hour to get checked in. The first time I stayed with Vacasa, I was locked out with three children, groceries ruining, for almost 4 hours. ##### Robin W. Oct 2, 2023 #### Nice but not for the price The ice dispenser didn’t work. Old TVs and appliances were stored in the closets. GFCI outlets were tripped. The fold out couch had no linens or blanket that fit it. Parking pass kept getting deactivated and I had to go the the main HOA to have a new one issued. Only thing is the bunk beds are hard and almost unsleepable. My 13 year old chose the couch because they were so thin Other than that it was perfect! Get there and the code doesn’t work. On the phone for over hr at 2 in the morning which is a great time! 2nd the A/C went out for 2days! I called and sent a text finally. Local person Vasca got with me 2 and got the issue fixed. 3rd the back door it took 2 grown men to open. It. I text about that and never heard a word. This is the worst condo I have ever stayed in At the Calypso. It needs an update very very badly! The carpet stinks, the toliot wouldn’t flush in the master bath, nor would the tub drain! For the money stay at a different unit unti alll the isssues are fixed. ##### jacob s. Oct 12, 2021 #### Great location, needs some updates I love how close Calypso is to everything. You can walk to pier park. The amenities like the pool and tiki bar are great. This unit was extremely clean but needs a few fixes. In two places the carpet tacks are showing through the floor. Ouch! The outdoor furniture is broken and rusty. The kitchen has a wonderful new fridge but someone has already broken the dishwasher. The bottom drawer didn’t pull out. With just a few fixes it would be 5 stars.
