The unit was outdated and overall dirty. There may be mold issue that caused an allergic reaction during our stay. The furniture was stained and dirty and there appeared to be mold on the bathroom ceiling. The pillows were stained yellow and there was an odor from them. The bed and pillows are a little uncomfortable. The body wash, shampoo and conditioner containers were all over the shower when we arrived and were empty. I saw 2 bugs during our stay in the bathroom. There were no wristbands for the property as advertised and communicated, therefore we did not get to enjoy the pool of beach as expected. We have stayed at Villages of South Walton before and been pleased but this place was a disaster. So filthy… we messaged them and they didn’t show up until the third day to change the bed sheets that had blood on them. We slept on top of the bed with our own blankets. Lights missing in bathroom, stuff under bed and under cabinets and holes in the wall. We tried to find another spot but with it being spring break we had to make the best of it. We did leave middle of the night on our last night because it was just so bad and we were tired and wanted to get some sleep in a clean environment . We relayed all this to them with no response. Oct 18, 2025 Liked: Location Disliked: Listing accuracy We pulled in and immediately thought how perfect this place is! The location is perfect. We unpacked, walked to a restaurant that was great. Things went downhill when we came back to relax. There were no batteries in the remotes so we put a ticket in for that and the tv not being hooked up properly. That ticket was never taken care of the whole week. The bed I can only describe as a mix between a trampoline and a warm marshmallow. It was so soft that when you rolled over you almost bounced the other person out of the bed. Then in the middle of the night water started aggressively dripping out of the mini split ac. We turned it off thinking it froze and we turned back on in the morning to 77 and within an hour it started dripping again.
