The primary bdrm mattress is very uncomfortable. The biggest issue though is the cancellation policy by the mgmt co. You reserve and pay on VRBO and then you are sent a list of "rules" including the cancel policy which basically says they keep your money if they CANCEL you. It is onerous. Owners have insurance that covers their losses so the money in this case must be kept by the management company. We only reserved a couple of weeks out so I wasn't as concerned but if you reserve months in advance, I'd consider something with another company. The policy reads "Refunds for events that may render the unit, area and/or amenities unavailable (to include but not limited to; natural or man-made disaster, owner usage, technical glitch, maintenance, pandemic, endemic, travel bans, health concerns, state of emergencies, ordered evacuations, local venue closure, community amenity closure, beach closure and/or the property remaining as a RealJoy Vacations rental at the time of the guests stay) will not be issued under any circumstances." Although I don't think this would be enforceable in some cases, you would have to file a case against them. Sure, trip insurance is a good thing to have if you 'cause' the default but they are saying if the owner wants to use the place and you're not allowed to come, they are keeping your money. This is questionable. I would not rent from this company again for this reason. There are plenty of other options out there ##### Cathi L. The king bed did squeak when you moved a lot. The blue Jean couch was really outdated and not that comfortable. The TV (cable)in the other bed room wouldn’t work. However, this unit was filthy and needed several updates. My 18 month old’s feet were completely black from walking around the unit! I had to spend our first day at the beach sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and totally cleaning the unit before I could allow my family to walk around with no shoes. There were several areas in the bathroom and kitchen that had rusted areas on appliances and the rugs were filthy. We love the Moonspinner but will not be using this unit again. ##### Jenny M. Dryer was broken our entire stay so I had to hang clothes, towels, and wash cloths everyday to dry 😕 Kitchen sink does NOT get hot water bathroom sink in master leaks under cabinet and that’s where the wash rags and towels were stored 🙄 On the upside the view was amazing and the “ugly jean couch” as our kids called it was VERY comfy! ##### Kasey F. The toilet paper was the worst I have ever had to use. Cereal from last visitor was still on floor. It’s a great location that needs some updating, and especially for that price. Some was correct in that the master bed is squeaky as all get out, and makes some horrific sounds. My husband and I actually thought the sounds were funny. The dishwasher is in desperate need of cleaning. The tile floor probably could use a really deep steam clean, but I walked barefoot throughout the condo and surprisingly, my feet were not dirty like I thought they would be. So, while the floor looks dirty, it really isn't. We had a great view of the ocean and the pool. We had fun watching all the little ones playing. All in all, this property more than met my expectations. ##### Lisa B. Séjour de 4 nuits en septembre 2021 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Voyageur vérifié 5 sept. 2021 Points faibles : Propreté #### needs a deep cleaning We had a little trouble with receiving email ( automatic emails such as booking confirmation and checkin details) from the Real Joy property host; however, they were very quick to respond when contacted directly. As for the room itself, there needs to be a complete deep cleaning done and update of furnishings. The "white" tile floor in the picture is almost black except were you can see walking paths. The bathrooms were covered in mildew ( walls, showers corners and shower head). The room smelled of mildew when you 1st walk in. The bathroom had unfinished patches on ceiling and walls. The sinks in both bathrooms were chipped. Lots of dust on counter top edges etc. The furniture (couch especially) is faded and stains on furniture. The all beds creak loudly and sound as if they will break with every movement. The remote in master bedroom that controls the fan and light was missing. Balcony door was extremely difficult to open and close and didnt lock. Kitchen overall was fine, had basic equipment. Dishwasher was nasty but we just handwashed. This is our third time at this property. We like it very much, however, this time there were several minor issues--one bedroom was very hot, bulbs burned our, patio door couldn't be locked, dish washer was in need of a serious cleaning. the sinks and showers are in need of an update, the tv in on of the bedrooms was unable to change channels and some other very minor, but aggravating issues.
