With a main living area and a lofted sleeping space, there’s still plenty of room to spread out at Deauville Carriage House. This convenient hideaway can also be rented with the main house for larger groups needing more space and privacy. Located above the garage, the main living area of Deauville Carriage House is on the second level, allowing for an ideal vantage point for people watching and enjoying the refreshing sea breezes. Bright white walls and large, sunny windows create an open and inviting vibe, while comfy neutral furnishings face a large HDTV— ideal for kicking back with your favorite TV show and some snacks. A cozy breakfast nook with a bistro table for four leads into the recently remodeled kitchen, where a mosaic-tile backsplash highlights sea glass-colored cabinets. Natural light streams into this space and illuminates the premier appliances, including a smooth-top electric range, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave. The carriage house also boasts its own washer and dryer. A little tight for a family, but great location and fantastic property. The only reason I put 4 stars in lieu of 5 was because the bed was either wildly soft or thin, maybe both. It is a five minute walk to the beach and less to Gallions, Crema and the Pearl. Starbucks is also a five minute walk. The decor of the cottage is very tasteful and overall condition is very good. Parking in the garage is quite tight. If you have a mid size SUV, it is extremely tight and a large SUV will not work. I have stayed in the cottage twice and would definetely stay again. ##### Susie C. On Sunday morning the management team reached out asking how everything was. I shared with them a picture of the wall mounted shower coming off the wall. Shower still worked but did not want to be responsible for the lack of maintenance here. On Sunday we needed to do a quick load of laundry since we packed light knowing we had a washer and dryer. After washer load was complete, we discovered the dryer would not start, getting a “door” code error. I sent a text to the property management company but it was after hours so they put a note in for the morning team on Monday. I didn’t hear from anyone Monday morning so I reached back out and said a member of the maintenance team would be over mid-morning. They showed up and said they would try and rest the dryer “again” by powering it down through the electrical breaker but that didn’t work. They said a part was on order leading me to believe they knew the dryer was not working. The Management team said they were working to confirm the service appointment. In the meantime, they offered us a drying rack. We declined because there was already one there. I pressed the management company letting them know this seems like a known problem before we ever checked in and felt like I was lied to. Also, there was very limited place to hang any clothes and there were only 7 hangers and no dresser to store clothes. We had to live out of our suitcases. It is bright with modern decoration setting your mood for vacation time @ Rosemary beach. The location is excellent, as it is 3 min walk from the beach and from the restaurants. It was our first visit to Rosemary and we can’t say enough good things about it. The unit was well appointed and comfortable, the location is unbeatable. Would definitely return. As mentioned in other reviews there is an alarm that sounds when you open the door to the garage or unit that sounds if you don’t hit a button before opening (bc there is a pool for the main house, the area for which you walk through to access the unit). I’d recommend the managers add something to the checkin instructions with some sort of warning and/or instructions for how to deal with the alarm. Las thing you want after a long drive is a loud piercing noise welcoming you. That being said, we figured it out quickly and it’s no issue to deal with once you know what’s going on. Just what we were looking for...heart of Rosemary, super clean & nicely appointed! Enjoyed the bikes, pools, restaurants, shops and of course thrilled to be steps away from the glorious beach!
