The ocean front view on the second floor is the best. This condo is plenty spacious with a big master bedroom, two queens in the other bedroom, and the pull out couch is comfy. We have always loved High Pointe and enjoyed our stay, but this time was much different. We come here because of the location and how easy it is to get to everything…the pool, the ramp to get to the beach, Crabby Steve’s. My Dad has a horrible time with stairs so this is the perfect location. Shortly after we checked in, the elevator stopped working and we realized we didn’t have Wi-Fi. Contacted Vacasa right away and were told that it would be passed on. This was the first of many calls placed. Once we unpacked and went to leave the condo, we opened the envelope with the wristbands that had to be worn but there were only 2\. There were 3 of us. So another call was placed and we were told someone would bring the wristbands to us. This did not happen. The next day, we managed the stairs but it was difficult and we headed to the pool. Except the pool was closed. The pool remained closed the entire week we were here. I was told it was a pump that they couldn’t get because of the holiday weekend, then it was on its way. Then it was replaced and they needed to treat the pool, for 2 days it was because they were waiting on an electrician. Being without the pool was a disappointment, but the elevator being out of service all week was unacceptable. Every time I called no one had an answer as to why or even knew if it had been looked at. Needless to say, there were many people upset. Those with small children were very frustrated as the red flags were up much of the week so the ocean wasn’t safe for little ones. We’ve never had anything but great reviews for High Pointe so I’m really hoping this is a one time incident. I was told at the end of last week that we would be compensated for the pool and elevator being out of service for the week, but so far I haven’t heard back with any information regarding this. If I am compensated, I will update this review. The property is great, the location is amazing, but spending $6700 for a family of 3 to stay, I expect better customer service. ##### Kelley T. Aug 14, 2021 #### One time visit The condo was a bit worn and needs updating especially the showers that would not run hot water until we continually turned the faucets to various positions. The management company did respond when I called but we already figured it out. The main issue however was the way the umbrella and chairs were controlled on the beach. We were placed in the second row when 80% of the front row were unattended and went vacant all day. Overall, we had a great stay. The property is in a great location, the views are beautiful and the resort is within walking distance of everything. My only negative is that most of the furniture needs to be updated to be in line with the cost of our stay. The TV's should be larger and provide Smart Channel access. If they did, we could not figure out how to access it. The master bathroom is updated and very nice and all amenities (other than a Keurig) were perfect. Lots of dishes, pans etc. washer and dryer were so nice to have. Walkable to several restaurants- go early or wait a long time. Tip- Lolas Italian across the street is awesome! Also Crabby Steve’s is a casual gem with great drinks and food on property Go at 0830 and get ur included beach chairs set up for ur entire stay- u can rent more if needed. The pool is beautiful. The condo was easy to find. Communication with the management was fine. The view was the best view ever. Love seeing the ocean from master bedroom and patio. The property was clean. The kitchen was great. The management was responsive when we had one small issue with hot water and fixed it immediately. The pool and beach chairs, and on site restaurant were great. Did not get in the water as it was too cold. But soaked up the sun. Was super windy one day. The weather forecast was wrong. Apparently it always forecast to rain, but it only rained a little. Everyone enjoyed the bikes. The area across the street has lots of little shops and had live music until 9PM. Curfew at 10PM for everyone. No nightlife. This was our second time to stay at High Pointe and loved it again! The condo was clean, nicely decorated and the view was incredible! During this time of Covid-19, we picked up a lot of take-out and ate most of our meals overlooking the beach and water. Everything worked (although the wifi was a little weak, which is an easy fix) and the condo provided pretty much everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back! Jul 3, 2020 #### another great visit we have stayed here before. beach front, remodeled bath and kitchen is great. like being on second floor, up high enough to see the gulf but easily use stairs without waiting on elevator. crabby Steves is the best thing about HP. Our children have autism and he always goes out of his way for them every time we visit. in fact they call High point "Crabby Steves" as in "when are we going to Crabby Steves" and it really makes our trips special. New security measures are fantastic(which was my only criticism the past). still so convenient to all of the area. we have stayed in 5 or 6 different units over ten years and this is one of the best for a couple and 2-4 kids. we stayed here with two couples and 3 8 YO boys once and it was fine but wouldn't want any more than that. enjoy! ##### derek t. There were 4 in our party. I think 6 would do ok. Eight, maybe not. We appreciated that the beach chairs were only placed two deep, not 4 deep as in the neighboring resorts. Nothing was said about having to stand in line to claim the beach chair, so here’s the drill: at the foot of the steps going down to the beach, there is a small shed. Go down when you arrive and check the open hours. Be there 30 minutes in advance so that you will have your choice of chairs. This only has to be done the first day. The chair you reserve will be yours for the length of your visit. The only bad experience we had was dodging the bicycle traffic on the sidewalks of Rosemary Beach. We were nearly run down several times. That scene has gotten completely out of hand and I urge construction of a bike lane on the 10 foot wide and completely useless swath of green between the street and the sidewalk. ##### Christa B.
