Small things like covers for couches that fit, toilet seat replacement in the master bathroom (chipped paint), light bulbs replacement. Master bathroom tub drain extremely slow leaving the tub dirty. Apr 2, 2024 #### A little freshening up is needed Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the property was pretty good. It's obvious that certain maintenance and upgrades haven't been kept up. There was peeling paint on doors, a couple cabinet doors were askew and didn't close properly, the trim throughout the property looks like it's been dirty and cleaned for a decade or more and has not been repainted recently as everything was basically "stained" by dirt. I don't think the property was "dirty" per se but because the doors, cabinets, and trim were all so dirt-stained it made the entire property seem dirty. The kitchen was well-equipped but with older appliances. I did see one palmetto bug in the kitchen during our stay but also, during our stay, the routine Terminix visit occurred so I know they do make an effort at extermination. I've lived in the south before and I know palmetto bugs are hard to kill and no matter how clean you are, it's not uncommon to find them. I don't think it was from a lack of attention or effort, it's just a fact of living in the south. Overall the linens and furniture was comfortable -- on a scale of 1-10 I'd say it was a 6\. The extra pillows in the closet need new pillow cases. They were stained brown and looked very uninviting -- almost like the stains you'd expect in a smokers house. Nothing smelled like smoke but these linens definitely need replacement. The bed in the master was very firm.The view was very nice and the entire property was pretty quiet -- there wasn't a lot of loud music or people acting stupid. It is very dated and clearly in need of updates.Cons:•The sliding glass door from the living room to the balcony is extremely difficult to open and close.•Cleaning instructions asked us to strip the beds before leaving, which revealed a disgusting mattress in the master bedroom. If guests are expected to handle this, the mattresses should at least be clean.•The curtain to the balcony was ripped and should have been replaced long ago.•There’s a noticeable hole behind the bedroom door.•The kitchen light fixture had visible splatters and grime—very unsanitary.•The spare bedroom bathroom is extremely small. There are no photos of it in the listing, and now I understand why. Jul 25, 2023 Liked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Summerhouse 301 We enjoyed our stay at Summerhouse, obviously this is our 3rd time staying in this condo. 301 was not as clean as I prefer, the showers could have been cleaner and the towels could have been larger and more hotel grade. They appeared to be just rags from your home and we had to wash multiple times just to have enough to shower each day. The dryer was super slow at drying, but it’s small and I understand that. The air wasn’t working well, but they did have it checked and fixed the 2nd time we had to call. Overall it was nice for us and didn’t let those other issue effect our vacation. I just know that some families would definitely flip with the cleanliness of the shower units. ##### Carla S. The housekeeping was terrible. The shower had mold as well as the shower curtain. The toilets were not clean. The sheets and towels did not smell clean. Won't book here again. ##### Leigh M. Aug 7, 2021 Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location, listing accuracy Disliked: Check-in #### Okay Stay The stay in general was okay. The check-in process was terrible. The front desk personal was not friendly or helpful. I reached out to Kenny prior to arrival and he was very pleasant, and helpful, but upon arrival we were told the room was clean, but they couldn't let us check in without his approval. He called them and got everything settled. We were told we would have parking passes and wristbands in the condo, but there wasn't any. The front desk said if they were not there then there was nothing they could do. The elevator at the condo was constantly broken or didn't work. Thankfully we were only on the 3rd floor so the stairs wasn't terrible to climb. The condo itself was clean, and fairly nice. The dryer however, didn't dry the laundry without having to restart it several times. The beds aren't that comfortable either, but since you don't spend much time in them it's fine. There was plenty of extra bedding though, and a great selection of dishes to cook with. Overall - it was an enjoyable stay. The condominium itself could use some upgrades and a better staff though. Needed upgraded toilets really bad. The disposal in the kitchen was torn up, but that wasn't the problem. When the maintenance man came to fix it, he knocked on the door and just came right in! Didn't give us time to answer, and we were both in the shower!! Did not appreciate that at all!!!!! We should have been called before he ever came up!!!!!!
