Average and you can tell they really are trying very hard to make it a good experience within the confines of a very limited budget. Staff was awesome! To be where it is so close to the beach at the price it was then I say awesome deal. They really make sure the no smoking is enforced. It wasn’t until the day we were checking out you had some nerd smoking the funny cigarettes and invading everyone’s breathing space. Really great service in terms of the reception-- so friendly/warm and helpful! There is a little store there, too, with things you might need/might have forgotten, and they can make daiquiris for you (with or without alcohol). The rooms are VERY basic. Floors not clean enought for me to walk comfortably barefoot (I would recommend bringing flip-flops), but shower etc. was clean and the bed was clean. No blankets; just a single top-sheet. The common area (pool etc) inside the Lodge is pretty. The best thing about this motel is the location. It is right across the street from the beach, but for a budget price. Cute coffeehouse next door with good breakfast. No, you cannot see the beach as it is blocked by the high rise in front, but you can walk right across the street and you are there. The water is wonderful in this part of Florida-- clear with a turquoise/emerald hue and white sand.
