The positives of this condo: 1\. first floor with only a few steps to enter (in case you’re traveling with individuals with mobility issues) 2\. All rooms are spacious 3\. Kitchen is clean with new cookware and utensils. 4\. Quiet, beautiful, safe neighborhood and quiet neighbors 5\. Furniture and decor is fresh and beautiful 6\. Propert management is friendly, prompt and helpful 7\. Convenient is you’re traveling with your pet (easy to take for walks and small side yard to get fresh air) 8\. It was in a quiet and safe neighborhood with a few minute drive to excellent restaurants, Whole Foods and other nice shops on University Ave. The drive to Stanford Medical and University was 7 - 10 minutes away. The place was clean and bedding comfortable. We did a lot of cooking at home and found the kitchen well stocked with pots and pans but were often running out of basic items such as glasses plates and bowls. The one parking spot was convenient but won’t fit anything larger than a medium sized sedan. The three bedroom unit is part of a larger house that has two units above. You can hear the upstairs neighbors walking on their hardwood floors but they were quiet otherwise. The property is spacious, well furnished and super clean. We were able to migrate enough “stuff” to make it function for us. The owner allows pets, so our dog got the chance to explore new streets — same old squirrels, though. It is located in a neighborhood near but not in the downtown area — lovely parks within walking distance, and other offerings a bit further away. The property manager was terrific — we had questions that she answered within minutes. I have a couple of suggestions for an improved experience. First, it would be great to have a binder with more detail about the property — how to work the TV, how the thermostat works, etc. Maybe even some helpful details about points of interest in the community. Second, while we may have been unusual in our need to cook each night, the kitchen supplies are a bit spare — it could use: mixing bowls, baking sheet, oven-proof casserole dish, pasta/salad bowl, cheese grater and a spatula.
