Our 19.5 hours of daylight during the summer months provide opportunity for berry picking, fishing, bird watching, paragliding, sightseeing, golfing, or gold-panning! The Independence Mine State Historical Park is a must-see for visitors intrigued by Alaska's gold mining past. After adventuring, return to your comfortable "base camp" in its quiet neighborhood at the foot of the mountain.
