Our stay was disappointing due to significant cleanliness issues. Upon our Sunday check-in, the room was clearly uncleaned. We found debris under furniture (a used cup, straw, food container), dirty floors, stained outdoor rugs, and sticky sugar packets. We also found long strands of hair that weren't ours in the bathroom, closet, and kitchen.
We notified the manager Monday morning. He promised a cleaning and a follow-up text, but the room remained dirty with no communication. On Tuesday, we had to insist. The manager was evasive, blaming housekeeping for the dirty room and a missing bottle of complimentary sparkling wine. Our room was finally cleaned Tuesday afternoon, two full days after we checked in.
This wasn't an isolated incident. While we were speaking to the manager, another guest reported the same issues. We later met other guests who also arrived to dirty rooms, with some resorting to cleaning the units themselves. This points to a systemic management problem.
To their credit, after these initial problems were resolved, management was responsive for the rest of our stay, and our room was serviced daily.
Our experience sharply contrasts with the hotel's positive online reviews, especially regarding cleanliness. The attached pictures support our account. While service did improve, the initial lapse in hygiene and customer service was significant. I would caution future travelers to be aware of these potential issues.
