The property definitely had vibrant colors. The room I stayed in was quite large and had a nice view of the mountains. A couple of things keep me from fully endorsing this hotel. First, the walls of the rooms are very thin. I could here the conversations in the room next to mine and they were not even yelling. The guests above me woke up very early and walked around there room which sounded like an elephant herd. Second, the mattress was not comfortable. It was quite lumpy and kept me from sleeping comfortably. Minor things were the stains on the curtains and walls- nothing major that grossed me out but something simple that could be fixed and help the overall appeal of the room. The bar/restaurant, “El Hefe” had very good food. The drinks were ok, but it was definitely expensive- $35 for tacos and one drink. The fire alarm went of during my dinner and stayed on for over 30 minutes. Some people left out of frustration, and, though my server apologized for the situation, there was no offer to discount my meal. If I were on a tight budget but needed a room, I would consider staying here again.
