The Ideal PS Retreat Amazing outdoor living spaces and unobstructed mountain views await you at PS Retreat! Located in the quiet and centrally located El Mirador neighborhood, just blocks away from the restaurants and shopping of Palm Springs' Uptown Design District, this spacious home sits on a huge gated and fenced lot with fountain courtyard entrance, raised fire pit area and one of the largest pools in our collection of homes. The home has loads of windows, sliders and French doors that keep the home light and bright and allows for easy indoor to outdoor living and entertaining. The front gate opens up to a large palm tree fountain courtyard with front yard spaces and sidewalks leading up to the home. The front hallway allows you to pass directly into the formal living room to the left, or, to the right, head on into family room and kitchen. The formal living room opens out to the front sidewalk through double sets of French doors with a gas fireplace and plenty of room for lounging and relaxing as well as a sleeper sofa. The family room sits off the gorgeously updated kitchen and beside the casual indoor dining area. The family room boasts a large 60” flat screen smart TV and views of the outside pool area. The granite island kitchen includes high end stainless appliances, a refrigerated wine cooler, buffet table and a long breakfast bar area as well which seats up to four comfortably. Dinner can easily move to the indoor dining area that seat ups to 6 comfortably or exit out either set of French doors to the covered patio and dine al fresco poolside! PS Retreat offers two bedrooms, well-separated from the living areas: one Primary Suite and a guest bedroom with en-suite bathroom as well as an additional powder room for guests and company. The Primary Suite has a King-sized bed, plantation shutters, flat screen smart TV, desk area and separate retreat or seating area with additional seating. The remodeled en-suite bathroom steps down to a gorgeous with a walk-in shower. The guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed, beamed ceilings, flat screen Smart TV and en-suite bathroom. Outside, the views are everything! The huge crescent-shaped pool offers a length-long tanning shelf with umbrella sleeves, large wrap around steps and a raised, cascading spa that affords stunning mountain views. Multiple seating areas from the raised fire pit, al fresco dining, café/breakfast/coffee seating, covered casual seating with coffee table and lounging chairs for tanning. You will undoubtedly be spending the majority of time outdoors. PS Retreat is the perfect vacation home for small families, couples that travel together or just a small group of friends. The El Mirador neighborhood is centrally located near the Movie Colony and Ruth Hard Park with easy access to the shops and restaurants of the Uptown Design District, Desert Regional Hospital and just a few blocks away from Downtown Palm Springs. El Mirador is a premier neighborhood of Palm Springs. This affluent neighborhood is rich with architecture and Hollywood history. It should be noted this neighborhood has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed. \- Per City ordinance, no music is allowed outside the (fully enclosed) home, at any time of day. \- Per City ordinance, we are required to have your ID on file. That said, there were a few small details that should be pointed out to improve for future tenants. The dishwasher only cleans on the lower rack and should be attended to. The backyard outdoor lighting does not come on until well after dark and the quiet time takes affect so it is difficult to take advantage of enjoying outdoor evenings. The gardening and pool staff did not necessarily keep the posted schedules and unexpectedly showed up taking us by surprise when we were trying to enjoy the outdoor space. Otherwise, the property did certainly deliver as promised and I would highly recommend it to other customers. ##### John R. There is also a park only about a half mile away that has a playground and is good for dogs as it is large and other people were playing with their dogs there. Such a nice place! When we drove, the location gave us great access to easily get around. The home is an older home, but is great value compared to those more recently renovated or built. My husband and I stayed here for a week and it was incredible. Nice and clean, plenty of towels, and very comfortable. We really spread out, enjoying all of the outside sitting areas to the fullest. The pictures don't do it justice! The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware, utensils, etc. Rob from the management company was quite quick to respond to questions that we had here and there. He was lovely to come and quickly walk us through the house upon our arrival as well. There are lemon and grapefruit trees in the yard that Rob said were ok to pick. I have never had fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice and WOW. Really added to the ambiance of having breakfast al fresco. The only con would be the beds. The master suite bed was very uncomfortable. You can feel the springs through the mattress and it's quite uncomfortable. A mattress pad could help make it more comfortable. We woke up with sore backs so ended up sleeping in the smaller bedroom though that bed was very soft and provided no support. I truly can't recommend this place enough. We had a wonderful and seamless experience from the moment of check-in until check-out. The house is very clean, tidy, and has all the essentials you need. Plenty of dishes, pots, pans, and utensils for cooking and barbequing. We LOVED the pool/spa area and spent most of our time there. There are pool floaties/noodles/etc and pool towels provided, all you need is your suit! The location of the house is perfect, about a 5 minute drive to the downtown area where all the shops and restaurants are. Rob was an amazing host and quick to respond to any questions we had. He provided us with an app/link that explained things about the house, how to check in/out, restaurant recommendations, things to do, etc and it was SO helpful! In past VRBO stays we have been provided with a book or binder which is helpful but not easy to access when you are out and about and not at physically at the house. Morning sun made coffee around the pool special. This neighborhood is sooo quiet and peaceful. A nice walk to the restaurants and shops. The property is professionally managed and the managers are very quick to respond. ##### Dave B. The pool was terrific with a nice shallow shelf with holes for umbrellas. There was so much outdoor seating; my favorite was to look at the mountain range from beside the pool in the late evening - just gorgeous. The other homes were close but the walls and high shrubbery allowed for great privacy. The house was well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen was really well stocked - the best we have seen. The check in and out were very easy with everything done by text and phone. The management was very responsive to texts during the stay. ##### Dana E. The property needs quite a bit of TLC, this property also does not allow you to have any guests other than the people staying on the property which was disappointing to find out at the last minute. ##### Michael W. From the house to the beautiful backyard and pool area. It was the get-a-way we desperately needed. The property management team was also incredibly responsive.
