Check in with Marvel was great. The room was better than our expectations and the view was AMAZING!! Our breakfast and parking were included with our stay which was perfect. The breakfast was delicious and every staff member was friendly and helpful.

Walked into major construction going on in the lobby, broken shower head and hallways in need of renovation. Over priced omelette came out wrong all 3 mornings. Lunch at the pool over an hour wait for food consistently. Great location though

The food at the restaurant was delicious and with it being on the river watching the boats creates a great atmosphere. Loved our stay there!

Overall nice hotel, walking distance to beach. Wonderful that you could borrow backpack beach chairs and umbrella. Also the restaurant was lovely to sit outside and have a bite or drink from the bar.

This property is listed as an upgraded hotel. This property has not been updated for it has to be 30 or 40 years. It is very dirty. I would not walk on the rug with bare feet. The bathroom and tile were missing caulking. The manager on duty Kendra was so aloof she was bordering on rude. Do not book a stay here

The room we stayed in had a great view! However, there was no soap bars or handsoap to wash our hands with, no liners in the trash, and ants all over the sink area. The shower smelled of mildew, and parking was atrocious as if you HAD to get Valet. For the price that was paid, things could have been a lot better.

Rooms are cheap looking. Desk chair was a crappy metal stacking chair, desk and dresser also pieces of junk. Room darkening shade very difficult to pull up and down. Gym is dirty and equipment old and not maintained. One of the tread mills has a ripped tread. Trash on the floor. I told the front desk it needed cleaning and two days later same trash still on the floor. Inadequate parking. Only good thing I can say is that the restaurant has good food and service. Also, chairs, umbrellas and towels available to take to beach which is an 8 minute walk away.

Well the shower drain was plugged, the heater in are room didn't work, and the room smelled like burnt pot. When i told the manager he said I'll get someone on it. They came back and said shower was fixed and the heater was turned off. As for the smell he couldn't determine if it was are room or the one be t door.

We checked in on Saturday and the room was 63 degrees. We turned on the heat and left for our event. We got back at 11:00 and it was still cold. The hotel sent up a maintenance guy and he could not fix it. He stated that he would send someone to fix it on Sunday. No one ever fixed the heat and it was still VERY cold in the room. The manager took off the parking fee and resort fee for compensation. That is not enough for freezing!

Staff and Hotel Both Need Serious Upgrades
We've stayed at Waterstone many times over the years. It is in a great location for us. The hotel was sold in recent years and the decline in all aspects of the hotel are readily apparent. The hotel staff, while generally friendly, appear to have received little to no training in how do make guests feel welcome. As an example, one front desk employee in particular would never even say "hello" to us, even if she looked up from her desk and looked directly at us.The rooms are overdue for an update and our room in particular had a musty damp odor. We were also unable to recieive the ability to self park as advertised and were forced to use the valet, The hotel, however, did agree to waive any daily parking fees for us. Bottom line, until the hotel shines itself up and their staff become more profesional, we will likely not be returning to Waterstone.

They are promoting the hotel as a 4 stars but it is not in my opinion. The location is good but the renovation was not what I wlecpected.

This is a nice place with comfortable rooms in an excellent location (with a car or bike) with great views from the little balconies, but it was FREEZING in the halls and a bit loud because the road over the intra coastal is right outside the window. Also we were not warned when we booked that unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance for the 2 of the 3 days we were there - but when we complained they refunded the $30 resort fee. Also there was only a walk-in shower and I would have preferred a tub. The complimentary coffee and blueberry water at the front desk were excellent

Would never stay at this dump again.. Have outside vendors trying to sell clothes in the lobby and front entrance, place is extremely disgusting and our room smelt like mold… Staff was rude and looked like they hated their job

Great hotel with friendly staff. I do think however that the charging the guests to self-park is ridiculous when they are paying to stay at the hotel. Also the check-in time is ridiculously late although they were accommodating and gave us our hotel couple of hours sooner.
