Derek, I am very disappointed we did not meet your expectations. Curiously, yours is only the second review NOT five stars, since we took over in January, which is distressing. The front door lock has a two minute delay and then it locks, other than that, I am at a loss for what else needs attention. As for your feeling uneasy, I’m very sorry for that, but your room of course, locks as well. Security cameras add another safety layer, even though the neighborhood is quite safe and we’ve never had the slightest safety issue.Regarding breakfast, we prepare a rotating main hot dish but certainly offer options whenever anyone asks, which is well-communicated, including on the posted daily menu.We always do eggs and bacon or sausage to order, and in the last two days, I happily obliged a young lady who wanted the French Toast she had seen on the menu the day before, and purchased and served the specific oatmeal and organic peanut butter per another couple’s routine. We are very hospitality oriented, above all else, and I’m just sorry those options were not caught by you. They were here all along. ;) Hopefully, next time.

Judy, you are the first guest to rate us under 5 stars since we took over ownership in January, so I am a little disappointed. We are constantly updating including undertaking the significant expense of replacing window units in the carriage house rooms with mini splits as I explained. If there is something else that needs attention I would appreciate specifics.I am really glad you enjoyed the breakfast. We do put a premium on a great experience. We hope to see you again.

Dear Marvin, we wil do our best to address issues in a manner so this doesn't happen again. Our circa 1936 bed and breakfast is historic and we are doing our best to maintain in properly. You had booked our smallest, standard room which is located in the back house and we have window units that are well maintain. All of the rooms at our property are diffrent. I gave you the option of complimentary upgrade to the main house where we put brand new split AC units and extra vents with central air. After 5 minutes in that room you decided to move to back house, clamining that AC is not cooling. Every AC needs at least half an hour to cool the entire room properly. Especially in hot summer in Florida.We will definetly check our outlets. This is not the lasting impression we want you to leave with, and we hope to have a future opportunity to show you our true value.

Dear Luiza, We are sorry that you are upset about our policy that has been in place since our Inn was established in 1936. This was sent to you in your confirmation and also when you were making reservation at our property. You have also never called with any questions about brining your little ones in 2 adults only room. I did my best to work with you and help you in this situation - allowing you to put your family of 2 instead of you and your 2 children. I also allowed you to check in early . I used word " probably-to make sure your room is clean for you as I had to check with my housekeeper. I have also referred hotels near by for you. I'm sorry if you took this personal and me as being "rude" . All I was explaining to you was as stated on our website and confirmation emails is our respectful request no children under 14. Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only Inn.

Dear Edward, we are sorry to hear that our Bed and Breakfast didn't meet your expectations. All of our guests love our homemade breakfast and a good atmosphere. That's why we are one of the highest rated B&B's in Florida. We are very proud of serving homemade breakfast each morning to our guest. It meets food inspection requirements and during the inspection food temperature is being measured so it's not possible to have "pre-made" breakfast. Inspection is available to public. Microwave is being used for reheating purposes only, mostly liquids. We are not sure why is being insunated by you differently. What is also included in our services is afternoon tea and homemade baked goods. We don't advertise coffee in the afternoons. However the coffee was served to you, per request. We also have instant coffee and hot water available to use 24 hours. There is also local coffee shop that serves speciality coffee, walking distance from the Inn. B&B and small Inns are different than hotels. Usually B&B's have personalized serice and a home-cooked breakfast shared with fellow travelers at a SET TIME. It's also included in the price of your stay. B&B's don't have a full staff or commercial kitchen like restaurants that's why we are serving each morning rotation of our signature dishes. Your wife requested gluten-free breakfast that's why we served Frittata's and hard-boiled eggs per her request. Also we are serving fruit, pastries and coffee at 7.30 am to start and a hot full breakfast at 9 am. If any of our guests communicate earlier request for breakfast we are happy to meet their needs. As a lodging establishment we have also room inspection performed and mold is one of the criteria. Reports of all the inspections are available to the public and you can clearly review that there was never an issue in our Inn. Best Regards,
