Air conditioning was out. 75 degrees in our room. No bar , place to buy snacks or amenities. The staff made the best of the poor conditions, but the hotel should be closed until the renovations are completed. I’ll never stay at a Hilton again and be sure to tell all about my terrible experience

I feel completely tricked. I get email AFTER I book that the pool, restaurant, and access to beach are all closed. I should have been told that before I booked. I did not have time to cancel and rebook somewhere else. Totally unacceptable to not be told up front.

While many guests do tend to overlook the announcement; we also send an email, text, and call all guests to make sure they are aware of the renovation well before they arrive. We knew that the hotel is going through renovations but didn’t expect to have the workers working by the front door and the only door to exit and enter from. The temporary path to the beach is surrounded of garbages, the only one coffee pot in lobby was “broken” for a day or two, towels for the beach were always out and had to wait for someone to bring them, soap was missing in the room. Felt like the service was down compared to last year. They are taking advantage for being under construction to lack on service. There was still no bar, no pool, only some breakfast served in a side room, but the new rooms are nice and clean.

The property had excellent location but the pool was under renovation. We originally chose this location due to proximity to beach access and with a pool. If we had known the pool was closed I would have chosen another property instead.

Do not stay here! Entire property was undergoing construction and I was not warned before booking the trip. Pool is in shambles. Lobby is still under construction. Avoid until the construction is finished before you even consider this hotel.

We arrived early afternoon and were told they would call us when our room was ready. (fair enough) They did not call and we arrived again hours later to find out the room was ready. The front entrance was blocked off and the drop off area, which was not under construction, was occupied by parked construction vehicles that could have been parked elsewhere. Guests were forced to unload luggage in parking lot and drag it through the blocked off area. No staff were available to assist nor direct us We were charged for parking. The pool/gym were closed and food was only available from a trailer despite being charged a resort fee. The beach was only accessible via an active construction zone. This Hotel should not have been opened for occupancy or at the very least, guests shouldnt have been charged for parking/resort fee's for what amounted to a stay at a cheap noisy motel.

I had high hopes for this hotel, but for a Hilton they feel very short. The staff was excellent. The construction is really creating a sketchy environment for solo female travelers. To have to walk through construction debris/workers on the way to the beach was not only unsightly, but had a very unsafe feel. It was isolated and had numerous places that you could not see your surroundings. I’m sure once they construction is done this hotel room be very nice.

The hotel is under renovation which is absolutely not mentioned. There is no pool, hot tub or restaurant. When we checked in, the front desk staff was complaining about being bit by bugs and there was a customer telling the staff that her laptop was stolen. The staff said the cameras on the floor aren’t working. We told the staff there is nothing saying the hotel is under renovation and was told that it should be, it’s not. This is unacceptable for Hilton and Expedia. I feel like I got scammed!

Where do I begin?! I’ve booked this property thinking it was true to Hilton standards.. not once was it mentioned that the hotel was under complete renovation. There was no open pool, no outside area , no dining area except a convention room which the staff was completely rude, the entire place was a complete construction site. For the amount of money that I paid for two rooms, I am beside myself. When A Hotel is under construction, it should say in the listing. I am extremely disappointed, and will never be staying at this particular Hilton again.

It's a joke of a hotel. The only thing it has going for it is that's on the beach. Extra charges for everything, food truck for a restaurant, 3 seat "Bar". The whole place is an over priced waste of money, spend your money at the neighboring hotels

This hotel was under major renovation and was not disclosed prior to booking. No bar, no restaurant, no pool. A total rip off and total disappointed. We will not book with Expedia again when they don’t disclose important facts. And we will make sure to tell everyone and blog about this experience unless we are refunded a significant amount of the $500 cost of the room. The hotel told us these facts WERE disclosed to Expedia so it was total negligence, or maybe unscrupulous, that it was not disclosed to us prior to booking. Very unhappy.

This is a construction site… I’m paying $300 a night for a resort with a restaurant and pool and all of that is a construction site. I have no idea how that’s not listed in the description or why they’re still charging full price. The staff is friendly and the room is clean but there are no amenities. I’m feeling like I’ve been taken advantage of.

The hotel is under renovation with 1 temporary lousy restaurant. Pool is under renovation. Very noisy with workers and equipment. There was no mention of the renovation when we booked!!!!! There are only 3 floors available during the reno. They are still charging regualr prices with tbe ongoing renovation. Beach is great and is the only option. Buyer beware

The hotel is undergo a major constructing phase that no one told us about . The entire lobby , check in area is one great mess. The staff virtual non existent, construction banging at 7 am in the morning on Saturday made sleeping impossible, yellow bath water was disgusting, etc.

This hotel is under a huge renovation. Please be kind to the employees. They are doing everything they can to make the experience nice. We knew going in the property was being renovated. We still enjoyed free beach chairs. The pool. The restaurant and bar.

We had a big nice 2 night stay. But disappointed the pool was closed. With no construction on the piol side it could have been open. The cold h20 handle in the room was stripped and we struggled to tien it off. The shower head was amazing along with the view.

Full disclosure: I do understand that this place was under construction. I am taking that into consideration for this review. I have stayed at numerous Hiltons. It is my hotel of choice. But this place was awful. There was strips of carpet torn in my room, I tried to avoid and ended up stepping on a piece and that like cut my foot up. So I am staying here, knowing it's under construction... I asked for a late check out and they would not BUDGE. I said please I have a baby (11 month granddaughter) and our dilemma is that we need her to take a nap before we go to a family function at 2:00. We only wanted to stay until 1:00. They would not accommodate us. Not only am I a well traveled individual, who has stayed at Hiltons and they will definitely accommodate a request such as this... but also my friends, who were staying in the same place, had a late check out until 2:00. I would NEVER recommend this place.

My husband and I have been staying at this Hilton on the beach for the past 7 years. This particular stay was a bit of a challenge, as they were in the middle of a total renovation. So some of the amenities were not available and everyday there was noise from the construction. With all that being said, you'd think that someone like me, who had reservations since March for our October stay,(no mention of renovation until a week before our stay)that we should of received some sort of discount or at least not to be charged the lousy resort fee's they are so proud of. But we'll still go back next year because we love the place and we can't wait to see the reno when its done.

This property was under heavy renovations. It looked like a construction site when I arrived. They were understaffed and many of the normal amenities were not provided originally (like bathroom towels). It’s in a beautiful area but the price was not worth the experience

Expedia called less than 24 hrs to tell us the hotel was under construction. Hmm how bad can it be? We get there NO OUTDOOR BAR to sit and eat by the seaside. It was so hot in there and the portable air conditions weren’t working. Staff had to walk straight up to them. So did we. You couldn’t enjoy a drink or food in inside bar. Oh! What a nice oceanfront room you have! Yeh right. Full of overgrown palm trees. What? There’s a beach there? Liars! As I was walking to the elevators one evening I smelled cigarettes so someone was smoking outside with the door ajar I’m guessing a construction worker. On the 4th floor and we were on the 3rd the noise was insane. You couldn’t sleep. They didn’t have a full cook Everyone has quit from the last time we were there. What a dang mess. Don’t want to go back there. Will choose another place on Singer Island bc Singer Island is a must

The hotel was in the middle of a huge renovation and we were not notified before staying there. The entire lobby was blocked off. We had to drag our luggage all the way around to another door, through the construction zone just to get to the elevator. Besides that, it was noisy and the pool was covered in debris because they were literally sawing and sanding right above it with nothing blocking it!! It was completely unsafe, dirty and surely not the place for kids. Ruined our 2 day stay at what was a beautiful hotel. I understand updates need to be done but we should have been notified and you definitely shouldn’t be working that close to the pool where people are swimming.

Disappointed with our stay. The hotel should of been closed during renovations. The smell of fumes was disturbing in the elevators and room.

The view...incredible! Oceanfront! Hotel in remodel process, so that was a bit underwhelming! The staff was incredible, so kind and helpful! I woukd go back!

The hotel is under MAJOR reno! AC wasnt cool, lots of messes walked into a dark hotel around all kinds of corners being poured on.

Enjoyed the private beach, however they are doing construction and there was a constant banging above our room. Also the internet was spotty. The food at the bar was good, but needs to have a larger selection. Pool was decent, needs to have more cleaning.
