Al 124GuestHouse is an apartment located in the heart of the historic center of Palermo, a few minutes walk from the Cathedral, the Teatro Massimo and the main sites of interest in the city.
Well connected with the public transport system, reachable on foot from the Central Station, it consists of a double bedroom, a bedroom with a single / double bed, a large living / relaxation area with a double sofa bed, two bathrooms and a kitchen.
Ideal for visiting the entire historic center on foot, including the historic markets of Ballarò, Capo and Vucciria, and in a few minutes you can reach the Teatro Massimo, the Cathedral and the buildings on the UNESCO Arab-Norman route.

Excellent

Une chose importante. Le quartier est vibrant et sonore. Les bouchons d'oreilles sont utiles pour bien dormir. Mais c'est l'inconvénient pour en contrepartie être au coeur du vieux Palermo et voir l'exubérance de cette ville pleine de chaos et de poésie. Marco et Clementina sont super sympas.........

Super semaine à Palerme !

Nous félicitons Marco et Clémentine pour ce bel appartement au coeur de Palerme ! Tout y est parfait : la déco , le confort , l'espace et la propreté ! Nous l'avions réservé car étant situé tout près de l'église où a eu lieu le mariage de notre fils avec une Palermitaine . Les photographes sont même venus y faire quelques clichés souvenirs pour l'album photos ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir dans ce logement . Merci Marco pour votre chaleureux accueil !!!

Des hôtes vraiment très charmants !

Appartement parfaitement placé, en plein coeur du centre historique, vaste, propre, entièrement rénové, doté de 2 salles de bain bien pratiques. Fabio nous a patiemment attendues, le soir de notre arrivée, alors que notre vol avait pris du retard, et nous a accueillies avec les douceurs palermitaines d'un bon pâtissier (fruits en pâte d'amande, canolli). Nous avons trouvé aussi, à disposition, des bouteilles d'eau, des jus de fruit, du café, des biscottes... Fabio et son frère Marco font le maximum pour rendre le séjour agréable, toujours prêts à aider et à rendre service. Leurs amis du B&B voisin (au même étage) ont été également adorables, en nous permettant de nous enregistrer chez eux pour le vol retour et d'imprimer nos cartes d'embarquement, les pluies diluviennes nous ayant privées de l'accès internet ! On se souviendra de la belle vue que l'on a du balcon de la cuisine sur le dôme en majolique de l'église du Gesù (qu'il ne faut pas manquer de visiter !). Merci encore, Fabio et Marco, pour votre réelle gentillesse et votre accueil !

The host was very nice, however, while the apartment itself was lovely, the building and the courtyard were under extreme renovations. Quite frankly it was very dangerous with scaffolding and cement all over and it was very noise and loud. In addition, there was a restaurant/night club at the ground level which was very disturbing for sleep. I think the host should have made us aware that the apartment was undergoing construction.

This is a very large space, very well located close to a major pedestrian area and the Piazza Bellini, but just far enough away to be significantly quieter at night. We never felt unsafe, although the streets between the apartment and the train station might be considered a little dodgy at night. It's just a 10 minute walk from the train station, so access to airport and side trips to places such as Cefalù is convenient. Access is through an interior courtyard shared with a small restaurant; the courtyard is therefore open to the public when the restaurant is operating (there are interior locked gates and security cameras). Apartment is two flights up from ground level and marble stairs are worn and in need of repair; installation of an elevator is in progress but doesn't look to be available in the near future as no work was done during our 5 day stay.The apartment is large with very high ceilings; furnishings are very basic but adequate. Air conditioning is available in all rooms. The kitchen is functional but could use a few more cooking utensils. Beds are firm but comfortable. Communication with hosts (who lived here formerly) was excellent, and they checked us in personally.We'd be happy to stay here again.

Very Nice Apartment but a bit noisy

Overall, this apartment is quite spacious and well appointed. The host was very informative and provided us with a list of restaurants and other merchants in the area.Location was good as well, except that the apartment backs up to a parking area and what looked to be a church(?) of some kind. As a result, it was very noisy every morning beginning at around 6:30 am. We were aware from other reviews that due to it's location in the city, it could be a bit loud. We assumed that meant in the evening/at night, when we would be away from the apartment. However, that was not the case. If you are an early riser, the morning noise won't be an issue for you - we are not early risers ;-)As the building itself is older and has large windows, it is not well insulated from the noise.

The place was immaculate. Very close walking distance to where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. Check in and check out, very easy. Greeted by the owners, who showe see us the apartment and gave suggestions for the neighborhood.

Great Host

What a great place with a super host. There is a restaurant below that has a nice breakfast and there are some small markets nearby, The streets are really intense, but if you get there at the right time of day, there is parking in the back which is HUGELY helpful. I thought i would be using Palermo as a hub and then driving to nearby areas, however due to the lack of parking available in Palermo, I ended up leaving my car in the space Marco helped me get behind the building and then taking cabs outside of the city.

Better than advertised!!!

The apartment is in the middle of everything. The building has historic charm and the apartment has all modern amenities. When we were en route, we were informed there was an issue with the washing machine. The hosts jumped through hoops to get a new machine for us the next day which could not have been easy. I have all the confidence Marco and Clementina will achieve all the goals as hosts, providing great experiences for many people and for many years.

Excellent place for introduction to Palermo

The apartment is close to everything, train, bus, markets and grocery store, many many cafes and restaurants, tours and many historic sites. The beach is a reasonable bus ride away. Our hosts met us on arrival and set us up nicely with information and suggestions. We did not mind the stairs or the sounds of the city in the evenings or mornings. It was a great introduction to Sicily and the city of Palermo

Loved it!

Perfectly located in Historical center, less then a ten minute walk to train and bus stations. Amazing food and lively entertainment just at your doorstep. Marco and Carmelo are a dynamic duo who were extremely hospitable and helpful. Should you need a taxi, take Carmelo,s number. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Spacious and right in the center

Marco was waiting for us when we arrived. He had bought cannolies for us - what a nice welcome. He also helped us with arranging a taxi pickup for the airport. The apartment is spacious and clean. It had the amenities and necessities, including coffee, water, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. Note that there is no lift and there are stairs to climb. With luggage it can be difficult. It is also very noisy at night, which is to be expected when staying in the center. The location was great We walked everywhere - Quattro Canti, Teatro Massimo, Cathedral of Palermo, etc.

We stayed here twice during our 2 week visit to Sicily. Out of the 6 places we stayed this was our favorite. Our host, Marco, was very helpful with check in and restaurant recommendations and the location is the best.

Best location in Palermo

Our property manager Marco couldn't have been nicer. On arrival our flight was a little late but he met us outside as we pulled up and was right on time for checkout. Two full baths was a really nice perk. I am a clean freak and found everything spotless. The location is the best part - only steps from Quattro Canti and a short walk to restaurants and Teatro Massimo. My only caution would be if you have trouble climbing stairs. Marco even left us a housewarming gift of fresh cannoli. Bellisimo! If you are taking a taxi on arrival or departure ask Marco for contact information for Carmelo, he has more reasonable rates than most and very good driver.

Could not be better

The apartment was even more spacious and comfortable than the photos make it appear, and Marco could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The location is terrific - just a few minutes' walk from the main train station and even closer to Quattro Canti, the centre of the centro storico. When we come back to Palermo, this will definitely be our first choice for accommodation.

Die Wohnung liegt sehr günstig mitten in der Altstadt, ist aber dadurch auch recht laut. Der schönste Raum ist die Küche mit einem romantischen Blick auf eine zugewachsene Kirchenruine Die Gastgeber Fabio und Marco sind sehr bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen und hatten tolle Restauranttips.

Great Apartment in the Old City

We loved the apartment right in the middle of the old section of Town. everything was in walking distance including the "on OFF bus Tour Stop" . Hosts really were a huge help even arranged a pick up at the airport which was so important after 21 hours of traveling. If you want to experience Palermo this is where you want to stay.

Perfect spot for a Palermo visit!

Location is perfect for visiting Palermo. Spacious apartment with two bathrooms and light filled rooms. Close to bus and train and many historic sites. Hosts Marco and Fabio helped us us with luggage which was very much appreciated. We highly recommend!

Die Wohnung liegt mitten in der historischen Altstadt von Palermo. Alle Sehenwürdigkeiten sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Vermieter war riesig nett, hat uns viele gute Tipps für Restaurants und Eisdielen gegeben. Die Wohnung ist riesig und gut eingerichtet. Great location, wonderful host, apartment was exactly as we hoped!

This was a lovely apartment in Palermo. Great location, the apartment was clean and more than enough amenities! Fabio who got me settled was incredibly friendly! He even put a cannoli and traditional Easter dessert in the refrigerator for me upon arrival. The building was very secure and I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. I would definitely stay here again!
