First, this motel is under construction, parking lot torn up and big machinery being run right by the rooms. Parking lot was half full with loud construction vehicles. There is no management on duty after five and we had loud neighbors but no one to contact. Large doormats were scattered about the corridors, three in front of our door some just stacked up in front of stairs...for the entire week. The room was not really clean and only towels seemed to be what was done. The food service was deplorable. As an early riser we went at six and as soon as food was brought in, staff/workers showed up and basically took all the hot food, such as it was. When we asked why they were allowed to do this and when the food would be replaced the staff had a very negative attitude. One of the worst places I have ever stayed and not that cheap. I'd advise anyone to avoid this place and perhaps all Best Westerns if this is what they offer.

I didn’t realize the train line was immediately across the street. The commuters when by about once an hour during the night. It was quite difficult to sleep with the noise.

It is an older propety located right off the freeway. Mostly residential area, it would be a further walk to the main area but only a few minutes drive away. You can catch a Lyft or Uber if you don't want to drive. Plenty of good restaurants and places to get a cold beverage.. A fun beach side city to spend a few days relaxing and enjoying yourself.

Reasonable price, nice pool and friendly staff. Hotel is older and rooms were outdated. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Good for a quick stay.

You get what you pay for. Given the inflated prices, I thought this was a good deal but upon entering the room, I knew I would have a long night. The room's stench is something I will never forget. The entire room smelled like a urinal, smoke, Lord know what else but it was unbearable. The water had to be run for a few minutes since it discharged black water, and the bed sheets looked unwashed. I left an hour after check in.

While sleeping my wife and I woke up at 3am and found a cockroach on the center night stand. My wife called to let the front desk know about the issue. Spoke to the gentleman in the front desk about the situation and he told us he would his supervisor know and would receive a from her.

I like that it has a fridge plus a microwave in the room. What didnt like was the bed i had request queen bed but they look like full size beds. Everything else was good, love the staff very nice

Our stay was from 1/20/24-1/21/24. Easy access on/off Interstate 5. A couple minutes drive to bars/restaurants. Everything was kept clean. Check in/out was smooth. Front desk staff, and housekeepers, were personable. They offered a continental breakfast from 6am-9am. We would stay here again.

I recently participated in the Carlsbad marathon on Sunday the 14th. I purposely booked that hotel because it was close to the race and I wanted to use the jacuzzi afterwards. The jacuzzi wasn't working even though I called prior to make sure it was up and running. There was no body wash i. The shower, the bed was similar to laying on a sack of potatoes, other tenants were up past 230 am partying, playing music and over all being extremely disruptive. Needless to say I got zero sleep and it affected my race significantly. I will most certainly not return to that establishment. Extremely disappointing.

The staff was very accommodating and gracious in their interactions. We also enjoyed the free breakfast which was a real breakfast - not a pastry and a drink. The hotel was a great value even for this class of hotel. We would return again and are inclined to lean toward Best Western hotels in the future when looking for basic but good accommodations. BTW-After figuring out how to use the heating system timer/remote - which was a bit challenging - it was very quiet and worked very well.

Great hotel & breakfast… but bring your ear plugs!
Great location, very helpful and nice staff, clean premises, delicious breakfast (nice variety of choices)… the only thing that could improve is the balcony window/sliding door provide no noise proofing - quite the opposite, it felt like there were no window/door at all, as if they were wide open and we were outside, listening to the freeway and the trains go by whole night... Beds could be more comfortable as well… We would definitely stay here again, but will bring ear plugs next time.

The only issue is there is no elevator at the property. You have to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to the second level. But the rooms are clean and spacious

With all the hotels i stay in this was the noisiest hotel ive been in. Constant door slamming, loud talking, we even had a mouse come in our room i checked out early cause me and my girlfriend couldn't handle it anymore.

The sliding door in the room is off the track, so it doesn’t feel safe and it made for a very noisy stay. There wasn’t any tissue in the bathroom.

I never stayed at best Western. Yet I am being charged approximately $129. I called the general number of best Western. They had no record of me. I called the specific hotel in Oceanside. They had no record of me. cancel my payment for $129 approximately. Once again I never stayed there. I should not be charged cancel my Bank of America charge.
