OCEAN View large home close to BEACH on 3 private landscape acres.

A beautiful 1400 sq ft 2 story home. 4 minute walk to the ocean. 1.5 miles to KEHENA black sand beach. Comfortable and clean with OCEAN VIEWS from many rooms and the covered lanai unlimited fast Internet - ATT Cell Phone reception - streaming Netflix on a big screen TV, GAS BBQ. The large covered outside Lanai with Ocean View, is great for outdoor dining, relaxing and taking in nature. Fully equipped kitchen. Tile and wood floors, Koa and Bamboo wood furniture. Large bathroom with separate toilet room for privacy. The home has an upstairs and a downstairs bedroom, both with very comfortable queen beds. We supply all paper products and soaps, linens and towels. Attention is given to all the details of housekeeping so our guests have a clean and inviting home to stay in.
Set on 3 acres of landscaped property with mature fruit trees that you can eat from when in season. The short walk down our private driveway to the ocean is great for morning sun rises and amazing coastal views. we are across from some of the most beautiful and undeveloped coastline in Hawaii.


With miles of State property, ideal for walking and exploring or just taking in unspoiled ocean views. A great place to explore, Turtles and dolphins are often seen from here. You can walk or drive to KEHENA BLACK SAND BEACH about 1.5 miles from us.
We are happy to share what we know about the area with our guests.

Paradise on earth! Wonderful home with plenty of room and comfortable, charming, relaxing decor. All the amenities one needs within an amazing garden/yard with fruit, flowers and coconut trees. Serenity, tranquility and peace throughout. S & C are amazing people who will take you on a wonderful tour of the property. We had the best time possible and can't wait to return!

An unforgettable stay in one of the most gorgeously landscaped properties I've ever seen. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen is large and well appointed and there's a convenient laundry area. Although this house only has one bathroom, it's worth noting that the bathroom is huge. Sue and Chad are exceptionally attentive and friendly hosts. There are two indoor living areas and two indoor dining areas, giving the house a spacious feel. It's the kind of place I want to come back to again and again.

We were generally surprised with the property. It was very well maintained and felt like we were staying in a botanical garden! Also because of its location, it was perfect for star gazing. Clean home with nice lanai to relax on after a long day exploring. Some challenges (washer/dryer, light etc) due to remote location but we didn’t mind. The property next door is noisy with the chanting, yelling and drum amplifiers but settled down at about 11pm finally. Sue has said that’s been sold and will become a different type of resort.

Perfect place to relax and unwind

What a special place! We enjoyed our stay so much and found the location to be very peaceful. Sue is an outstanding host, responsive, friendly and very helpful with answering questions and providing information. Each morning I walked to the nearby cafe for coffee, then across the street to the bench overlooking the ocean. My son and I enjoyed each having our own space and being able to make meals in the kitchen. The breeze throughout the house was wonderful and we spent most of our time there just reading and relaxing. But it would also be a good home base for outings such as nearby beaches, farmers market, and volcanoes NP. MacKenzie recreation area is very close and is a must see. Also on a clear night it is an excellent location for stargazing!

Absolutely beautiful rental

It's obvious Sue and Chad put time and effort in making the house and grounds beautiful. The house was equipped with everything we needed to cook, and just relax and enjoy the surroundings. All you hear are the birds and crashing waves, no road sounds. I spent every possible minute outside. It was also a treat to visit with Sue, she knows a wealth of information on the area and is just plain fun! With any luck, we'll be back again!

Beautiful Secluded Property

Just what we were looking for after a few days on the west side of the island. Sue & Chad have an amazing gem of a property and the hard work they put in shows. Everything was labeled well and guidelines were simple and easy to follow. The area is more secluded than some other areas but we lived it and still found Vilcanoes NP and Hilo attractions easy to reach. Sue was a friendly host and made us feel welcome!

Amazing acerage property

A beautiful place to relax

I had such a peaceful and wonderful stay. I loved all the fresh air that blew freely throughout the home as well as all the natural light. I felt very safe as I was travelling as a single gal. The owners Chad and Sue were absolutely wonderful and brought me fresh oranges to juice! The home was very clean and comfortable. I didn’t even miss my bed! The bed was very comfortable. I am already planning my return. Being surrounded every day by beautiful nature gave me inner peace. If you’re looking to relax in a magical place, this is it!
