Located in the idyllic Steven’s Lake neighborhood, this three-story home boasts a tranquil escape, wood-burning fireplace, and more! As you pull in and enter, you are greeted by a storage room for convenience. To the left is the first level bedroom featuring two queen beds, backyard views, and closet space. Further down, the hallway opens to a vaulted sunroom, and rich wood tones. A full bathroom with a marble countertop, a walk-in shower, and a washer and dryer is just to the right. Moving up the stairs leads to a marvelous open floor plan living room, dining room, and kitchen. At the top of the stairs and to the left is the living room, which blends the comforts of a mountain home with a modern design twist-very elegant. There is also a wood-burning stove to complete the experience. To the right opens to the dining room with ample seating, a stunning centerpiece chandelier, and deck access. The kitchen is beautifully remodeled with a tiled backsplash, granite countertops, and breakfast bar seating. The master bathroom spotlights a breathtaking stained glass window accented by the granite countertops. The walk-in shower is exquisitely tiled and has bench seating and a rain style shower head. Our second camp site at Hanaker had an amazing hike up the canyon wall to a look out over the river and canyon. Very hot hike, but the views were amazing. If I did this one again, I would probably go in the morning. The raft trip itself is pretty easy, only one Class III rapid. The bedrooms are amazing except for the beds which are hard mattress, but the bathrooms are amazing. We so enjoyed our stay which was in Mid October and the Fall colors were glorious. The house is in a lovely quiet neighborhood and surrounded by trees with some great long views. The layout of the home is really interesting with 3 levels and double height spaces which make it really fun and easy to communicate with others in the home even if in different floors. Our 2 girls loved the bunk beds and we all especially enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace room which is flooded with light. There were just 4 of us (my wife andi plus 2 young kiddos), in the home and whilst it can certainly accommodate more people, we really enjoyed all the spaces. The home is well located for local supermarkets and amenities and just a short pretty drive in to the town center and the numerous hot spas and beautiful places to go for a walk. ##### andrew c. My brother and I were here for over a week and absolutely loved it. We’ve been coming to pagosa for 40 years and this is one of the nicer houses we’ve seen. Beautifully decorated. Cozy. Extra blankets and space heaters. Comfy beds. Fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. I could watch herds of deer, wild turkeys and even a couple coyotes right off of the master bedroom deck.
