This property is conveniently located in the Uptown area which will take approximately 10 minutes to reach downtown, 30 minutes from Wolf Creek, 1 hr. from Durango CO. \*\*During winter months expect snow! Please ensure the vehicle you are using has 4-wheel drive capabilities. Fishing Permits are required if planning to use the lake to fish. They can be acquired from the PLPOA Admin office (230 Port Ave.) or the Pagosa Lakes Rec Center (45 Eagles Loft Cir.) You can call the admin office (m-f 8am-5pm) ahead of time, pay over the phone with a credit card, and pick up your passes at your convenience. No swimming is permitted in the lakes as lake weed is prevalent and can snag a person. Small boats are allowed with permit. There is a pet fee of $45, with a limit of two pets, and pets must weigh 40 lbs less. Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM, unless otherwise arranged. Early check-in or late check-out is available for $15 per hour, which helps accommodate our cleaning schedule and preparation for the next guest. HEATING & COOLING: Thermostat is located by kitchen on wall right side of pantry. Please contact the property manager to confirm availability for late check-out. Failure to comply with the check-out time may result in denied access to the property or immediate eviction. Should guests be visiting during winter months expect snow! Please ensure the vehicle you are using has 4-wheel drive capabilities. Refunds will not be issued because of weather. (Unless previously discussed and authorized by management.) The host was very helpful when we had questions before our arrival. The accommodations were just what we needed. The house was IMMACULATE! Open space from the kitchen, family room out to large covered wrap-around deck. Plenty of seating indoor and on the porch. The porch had comfy rocking chairs, and a huge teak table to dine outside. We enjoyed sitting outdoors, there were no mosquitoes to contend with, a welcome change from our home. Kitchen is appointed with the best appliances, as well as the laundry room. Upstairs has a NICE media room. The setting by the lake was very peaceful. If you wake up early you can watch the hot air balloons just across the lake. We had never been to Pagosa Springs. Our stay on the lake was so relaxing and quiet and mostly cool. The home was perfect for our grown up family with spouses. A place on the ground floor for us and a place for our adult kids to spread out and get away from us old folks when needed. Our sil enjoyed fishing on the lake while we watched from the porch. There are lots of hiking trails in the neighborhood and others in the forest within just a few miles. Check in and out was a breeze and the host stayed in contact when necessary. I would recomment this home, if you are looking for a nice quiet place to stay. The house is at the very end of the pond and the shallow water is filled with algae and cat tails. The view of the water is small and you mostly see other houses- that actually do have a lake view, but no this one.
