The perfect base from which to explore Kentucky Lake has successfully been constructed. The 680 square-foot lake front area of its deck offers spectacular sunrises without another structure in sight - only a calm unspoiled setting - the lake and nature. This majestic environment seems complete as visitors experience the remarkable image of a Bald Eagle reflected on the water as it soars in to perch on the branch of a surrounding tree. The wrap around deck totals 1100 square feet and is the ideal place to discover the beauty and serenity of Kentucky Lake by the light of day or under a starry sky at any season of the year. There is no more beautiful setting to begin or end your visit to the Lake. Conveniently located only 13 miles from Murray State University. We do include Free WiFi. While the cottage's design maintains a rustic mood special attention has been paid to provide distinctive quality furnishings and unique amenities that ensure the guests' comfort and a restful visit. The top floor of the cottage has a cathedral ceiling. The living space and dining area feature a grand stone fireplace and floor to ceiling windows that share the main deck's great views. Two well appointed queen bedded rooms and a full bath are also upstairs. Downstairs with a separate entrance is a quaint twin bedded room with a full bath, as well as a laundry facility. Enhancing and maintaining quality is a happy necessity that keeps our customers returning. Ensuring that every season be one of great memory making feature a custom boat dock adjacent to the cottage with an on property boat rental. A very thoughtful process of considering what features make for the best waterfront experience has brought about many conveniences with the addition of the deluxe dock. The house is very clean, very organized and very well stocked. Our stay was absolutely perfect very peaceful, very relaxing and just an incredible view from the large deck. The boat dock was used for fishing and it did not disappoint. We caught so many fish and so many different species… What a trip can’t wait to go back. Do not hesitate to book this property. We live in Louisville and decided to travel closer for vacation this year, since we are taking a cruise in October. And I’m SO glad we did! The check in process was excellent, the cabin was cleaned and stocked with everything we need for cooking/cleaning! Paul rented us a boat for our stay and the kids had the best time tubing! (It was my first time too) we cruised up to Burger Barn for dinner; which was delicious and excellent pricing. We had the best views of the sunrise, and every morning we tried to get our their on our paddle boards! We had a surprise visitor on the lake with us; an armadillo!! He swam right next to us, so cool, another first for us! Pam and Paul were gracious, kind, and always there right away for our questions we had! Couldn’t have asked for a better, more fun trip filled with great fun, food, activities, sights, and more! It’s the perfect place if you want to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. The lake is amazing and has a beautiful sunrise every morning. One of the highlights every day was to see the eagle perched in the tree next door. There’s not a lot to do in town, but they have a great Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and they have a pretty nice movie theater for a rainy day. They also have plenty of restaurants if you don’t feel like cooking. On the negative side, there were a few things… The pictures on the website are definitely dated. The planters are no longer filled with flowers, but with cobwebs and dead bugs. I understand it is a cottage, but if I was renting out a property, I would try and make an effort to clean the deck and the dock for the incoming renters . It’s not a big deal but it would have been nice. One of the things I noticed while I was looking at this property was the lack of pictures from inside, but there were a bunch of their boats (more on that later). When we arrived it all made sense. When you see the “master” bath you’ll understand why they left it out. The bedrooms were fine, but cramped. The furniture and decor is a little dated and needs replacing. The kitchen and laundry were also fine. We were going to rent a boat but we witnessed Paul be disrespectful and insulting to our neighbors for two hours during his “boat lesson”. Totally uncalled for. You don’t treat your customers that way. ##### Anthony P. The location was really great; quiet & secluded, beautiful private dock where our kids spent hours and hours swimming & fishing, Murray is such a cute little town with everything you could need (15-20 mins), Nashville was a quick 1.5hour drive. We rented one of the boats and brought our own tow rope & intertube. A day well spent on the lake! Cottage had two rooms and a separate room and bath downstairs - you do have to go outside to get downstairs, but great to shower off after swimming and laundry machines too. The cottage was outfitted with nearly everything one could need. We were discovering items on our 5th day! And the hosts, Pam and Paul, were responsive to our needs. My only critical review is that the 3rd bedroom and 2nd bathroom are in a below grade level that is only accessible outside. The ceilings are low in this level and there is a distinct odor of dampness. That being said….. I plan to return and rent the same cottage. ##### Bryan M.
