2021 Remodeled Victorian in Excellent Location, Close to Beach and Downtown
Excellent location. 2 minute walk downtown Pacific Grove, 4 minute walk Lovers Point and 2 minute walk child-friendly Caledonia Park. Relatively close to Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Downstairs unit of an 1887 Victorian *duplex*.
Living room features a gas fireplace and comfy leather reading chairs. The unit has two bedrooms and comfortably sleeps four. There is also a sofabed in the living room that can sleep 1-2 people. Our City permit allows a maximum of five guests total.
Master bedroom features a California king bed, master bathroom and closet. Junior bedroom has a queen-size bed, bathroom, and small closet. Junior bedroom is very small in size. As mentioned, there is a sofabed in the living room.
The master bathroom has a walk in shower whereas the junior bathroom has a tub/shower.
Kitchen has a new floor and is the only room in the house not recently remodeled (stove and fridge are new, however). Kitchen has basic cookware and coffee is provided for the coffee maker. There is also a blender and toaster.
We remodeled the unit in 2021 and added soundproofing between the floors but it is an 1887 Victorian so it is not noiseless.
Like all other houses in Pacific Grove, the unit does not have air conditioning. Our warmest month is September with a mean high of 73.6F. We do have a high-quality large fan in one of the closets if there is an unseasonably hot day.
We use an electronic door lock so no check-in required.
Other Amenities: Cable television, wireless internet or wifi, private backyard, shared laundry located in side yard between kitchen and garage.
We subscribe to a large selection of cable television channels but do not have direct access to Netflix or Amazon Prime because the second remote caused confusion for some renters. Guests can connect their laptop to the television with an HDMI cable and stream any content from our wifi. We have spare HDMI cables in the cabinet; as backup, a hardware store is a few blocks away and also sells cables.
