Star Gazing on the Roof Deck w/Firepit +Dogs! Welcome to 5 O’Clock Somewhere, a relaxed and nearly beachfront home just 50 steps from the sand. This is the kind of place where mornings start slow, beach days last long, and everyone naturally gathers again at sunset. With two living rooms, inviting outdoor spaces, and a rooftop deck made for golden-hour moments, the home is designed for connection, comfort, and easy coastal living. Hosted with care by Chic Beach Vacations. Guest Access After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation message and a request to sign our rental agreement. Once completed, you’ll receive access to our digital Guest Portal with your check-in instructions, Wi-Fi details, local recommendations, and the option to request early check-in or late check-out when available. Parking is provided for up to four vehicles, with one space in the garage and two to three spaces in the driveway. Street parking is not available. The Space Designed for together time without feeling crowded. Two separate living rooms give everyone space to unwind, while the open layout makes it easy to reconnect throughout the day. The fully stocked kitchen, comfortable seating, and thoughtful layout support everything from casual meals to movie nights after the beach. What You’ll Love \- Just 50 steps to the beach \- Rooftop deck with fire pit, string lights, and comfortable lounge seating \- Two living rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs \- Ground-floor patio with gas BBQ and covered dining \- Fully stocked kitchen with coffee station and cooking essentials Sleeping Arrangements The home sleeps comfortably with three king bedrooms and one twin bedroom. Sleeper sofas on both levels provide additional flexibility, with linens and pillows provided so everyone can settle in easily. Bathrooms There are two full bathrooms, one on each floor, plus a powder room upstairs. The upstairs bathroom includes a jetted tub, perfect for unwinding after a long beach day. Fresh towels and essential bath amenities are provided. There is no outdoor hot tub at this property. Outdoor Space Multiple outdoor areas make it easy to enjoy the coastal setting, from sunset evenings on the rooftop deck to relaxed meals on the private patio. The beach is close enough to come and go throughout the day without planning or packing. Other Things to Note This is a dog-friendly home, and we provide thoughtful basics to make traveling with your pup easy. A $25 per dog fee applies. Dogs must be clean and on flea control. We have just two conditions for the rental: it has to be close to the beach and it has to have a hot tub. Although this property listed a hot tub as one of the amenities, there was none. Instead, there was a smallish bath tub in one of the bathrooms. I think we can all agree that a bath tub is not a hot tub.As soon as we realized that there was no hot tub, I texted the management company. No response.A few days after that, I emailed the management company. No response.A week later, I emailed the management company again. No response.The communication with these people is terrible. I should have anticipated this because, during the initial rental process, I emailed them a question about a discrepancy between their rental agreement and the terms provided on the VRBO site. This email was also ignored.In addition to the lie about the hot tub, the description also lists a 'beach view.' The only way you can see the beach is by leaning way over on one of the balconies and catching a glimpse of the beach in the narrow alley between two houses.In all the years that we've been renting spots in this area, we've never once had a single problem so this experience really stands out as the worst. This company,ChicBeach, manages 28 other properties as well, and they probably manage them as equally poorly as this one so I would recommend staying away from them all. ##### Manny G. We were traveling with our two young children and our parents, and the house was quiet and had plenty of room for everyone. It couldn’t be more conveniently located to the beach - barely a 30 second walk away! It was also a great jumping off point to visit attractions Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Montecito. Communication with the property manager was super - Lisa checked in frequently and the property/area guide was very helpful. The kitchen was well-stocked and it was really nice to have a washer and dryer. We also loved the rooftop deck! Our one minor suggestion is that the property guide and listing says there are plenty of board games and beach supplies, but apart from one game, we couldn’t find either - and the kids looked hard! We didn’t mind, but it may be worth updating the listing/guide so that future guests have a better idea what to pack when it comes to beach gear and family entertainment.
