This place is revolting, there is mold on the carpet, the bedsheets, pillow and chair had staines on them. The room "key" was a post it note with a code written on it, the toilet was clogged when I tried to use it. The noise from the bar downstairs would have made it impossible to sleep. I'm glad I left without sleeping there. For anyone thinking on staying here avoid at all costs this place is repugnant.

Shower broken. Either scalding or freezing. Paint peeling off the walls. Lights over the beds didn’t work. Handrail on the stairs broken. Glad we didn’t spend much time there. Good location. Very overpriced for the state of the place. Bedroom door looked like it had been kicked in. Didn’t feel very safe.

This property was extremely convenient to bus station at Gloucester Green…literally a 2 minute walk. The front desk person carried our heavy bags up the stairs which was nice since there was no elevator. The property is a bit run down. Our room (#3) had a very musty smell and needs to be freshened up. The carpet was old, bed was comfortable though. No AC which I guess is the case for many hotels in England. The bathroom needs to be updated as well. Cracked tub and shower does not work well at all. Have to hold it up as you are taking shower. No hair dryer and broken window pane that was taped together. Also, there is a bar directly under the hotel so the noise was extremely loud at night. You need a noise maker for sure.

Bathroom was super dirty. Pink scum everywhere is shower. Window in bathroom was rotted out and there where 2 significant holes in the window casing letting street noise in. I took pictures that I wish I could upload here. VERY noisy location on a main street and over a bar playing loud music until the wee hours. Think walls - could hear EVERYTHING the person in the next room did and said. I do NOT recommend this location!

Very upset about my stay here. Bad signage, unprofessional check in, cold water hot tap didn’t work, window wouldn’t close couldn’t sleep due to the noise, NO BATHROOM, didn’t say on the website?? I wish I didn’t stay here, I had to for work. I want a full refund! Cold room, absolutely awful and not cheap to book either!

The staff were polite, but the condition of the hotel and the rooms is rather worn in. It is located next to the bus station, so you will need earplugs. Also there is no Aircon so you will have to have the fan on all night on this heat. It's very central, so everything is at your doorstep.

Very noisy
Thin walls right above a pub/nightclub - a recipe for disaster. I could hear the music and people singing, as well as the buses at the bus station behind, until well past midnight on a weekday.

Convenient for the theatre
The hotel was convenient for the theatre, and the hotel is all narrow stairs so forget anything with wheels, our room was small and the bathroom bigger but refurbished, the biggest “laugh” was the small wardrobe as I opened the door the wardrobe collapsed against the wall…. As it had no back or top or bottom, but the room was clean and tidy with restaurants and car park close with the art cafe does a superb breakfast

Ok place if you're really on a budget but need to stay in the city center. Otherwise I'd pass. The place was run down and dingy overall. The room was pretty clean but had stained carpet. The shower head was completely broken and sprayed all over the place. Noise from the club is very audible until the wee hours. Also, outside regular check in hours it seems no one mans the front desk. We wanted to ask about luggage storage for a while after check out and rang the bell at the counter for about 10 minutes with no luck. I finally resorted to calling the hotel number. No luck at first, but someone thankfully called me back pretty quickly. They said we could leave our luggage no problem, which was nice, but to put it back in our room. Sounded weird to me. What if they let the room out to someone that night and we hadn't picked our luggage back up yet? Sure enough, when we returned later that afternoon, no one was at the front desk, yet again. We decided to just go straight to the room, but had the foresight enough to knock rather than using the door code just in case it was now someone else's room. Sure enough, a very confused girl opened the door and let us know there was no luggage in the room when she arrived. So we went back downstairs and rang the bell at the desk a bunch until someone finally came out, told us they'd moved the luggage downstairs and led us to where we could retrieve it. All in all not the end of the world, but just inconvenient and a bit frustrating.

Hi, that hotel was the worst and disgusting place we have ever stayed with my family! Thank God we only had one night there, because of the mold and moisture everywhere- on the walls, seiling, window frames and bathroom. Rubbish and dust everywhere. My child sufferes from laryngitis and pharyngitis and was unable to breathe normal during the night. Terrible and dirty place! The ceiling was so puffy above the wardrobe... because of the mould. It seems they tried to paint it but just partly was done to all of the room ceiling and bathroom ceiling. When open the wardrobe doors you can see the big black mould spots with disgusting smell. And you can see the ceiling from inside the wardrobe because the wardrobe has no cover board above... just two doors with side boards! The carpet was dirty and the dust everywhere shows that they only change the bed sheets without cleaning nor the room neither the bathroom! All the window frames was covered with mould and dust and you can hardly see anything outside. We would never recommend it to anyone! I will attach photos.

Hotel is managed with very low standards , there is a very gentle boy that helped a lot but with very little resources , cheap or reasonable prices doesnt mean abandoned and unplacent. 5 nights in a very dissapointibg place .

The place was basic but comfortable. The rooms had heating and hot water. The location was very good. Within a 400m radius, one could get onto the railway, city centre, main shopping centre and loads of eating places. Thank you Sadek, Sam and Carmelia, you made our stay there so enjoyable.

Just spent one night here and it was way better than expected. A friendly welcome and a huge room and bathroom. The location is unbeatable too. We requested the fewest stairs so had the noisiest room directly above the nightclub with a bus station right outside. Could definitely hear both but I'd happily come back anyway. For the price, we were completely satisfied

Very nice.
The hotel itself was clean, easy to reach the city centre. However the name was different on the building. It was OXO hotel, they should change the name on the websites to stop the confusion as we went past multiple times looking for Euro Bar and Hotel. The parking wasn’t far too, which the car park would be full all the time, so was lucky to have a space. The staff was nice, very friendly. Our room was on the top floor so was lucky enough to have a private bathroom, as other rooms has a communal shared bathroom. The bar isn’t exactly connected to the hotel, you go back out onto the street and turn right. Overall it was worth the money, and I would definitely stay again as it was an easy reach to the city centre.

Staff were helpful, but got no sleep due to bar below (owned by hotel?) playing bass heavy music until 1:40am. Then followed by an hour or so of loud drunken revellers shouting as the passed the room, which has very poor sound insulation. Great place to dump bags, beds were sadly superfluous.

Love the location and the coziness. It is very quaint and charming. There is a strange pulsating alarm somewhere outside that has been going nonstop since we arrived yesterday afternoon. It made sleeping rather difficult. It’s so typically British…. Does no one else hear it? Does it not need to be attended to? I simply don’t get how the locals can just let it go for days and not shut it off. This sort of thing bewilders me. Also be advised there is a bus depot right behind so there is the beeping of vehicle alarms backing up. Fortunately that ends after 10:00 and if you are at the front of the building like we are you can only hear it when accessing the stairs.

As many others have said, the outside of the property doesn't look that nice, but once you step inside it is clean, bright and modern. Check in was easy and quick, room was large and clean with ensuite bathroom and had the usual facilities such as tea/coffee/soaps etc. Location is excellent. The bus station is directly behind, where you can pick up local or sightseeing busses, loads of popular chain restaurants and pubs with 1 min walk. High Street and shopping centre within 5 mins walk and an easy walk to most other town centre attractions. Would recommend.
