This hotel knew that we were there to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary. We specifically asked for a quiet room.
We were so uncomfortable the whole first night....woke up, literally, soaken wet from sweating. The room was 80 degrees. After opening windows, couldn't sleep with the traffic noise. The temperature dropped to 78 degrees with the windows & door open. We told the front desk that morning & she said all they could do is bring us a fan & that the air conditioning was turned off & it was warm no matter what room we were in. I said that this is unacceptable. We carried on about our day. When we returned back to our room around 3 pm, it was again 80 degrees. We noticed they had put a stationary fan in our room.....not a circulating one as promised. So we called the front desk & they send up a guy to check our thermostat. I was persistent that for the price we had paid, there was no way we should be this uncomfortable. It was still 80 degrees. He then told us he could put the air on in the building. Within minutes of him leaving, we could feel air coming in & the room finally cooled down for our second night. I do not understand why the air was not on that whole first day & night & the majority of the second day when the weather was so warm outside, let alone the fact that all that was required was a simple flip of a switch. Needless to say, it wasn't a pleasant experience.
