Check in was easy. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff memeber who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Many restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean but not entirely soundproof. Had a mini sauna in the room as well. The soap/shampoo needs improvement but beyond that the stay was quite pleasant.

We had a warm welcome from the front desk when we arrived, and everything was explained to us (sauna, breakfast, recommendations for restaurants in the area since we arrived late and were hungry), etc. My room (401) was huge, with a sofa, and big bed, and the sauna was hot! It was pretty quiet. There was a coffee bar with great coffee up until 9pm, and the breakfast was stellar. Really, I'd stay here again for sure...the value for money was great!

Excellent stay, friendly staff, filling breakfast and nice sauna in the room. Parking is excellent. We had a cat with us, this is an excellent hotel to stay at with a pet.

Good hotel choice for Oulu
Nice hotel in quite a good location for the centre of Oulu. Room was very clean. Breakfast has a good variety of hot and cold food. I had a sauna in my room which was really nice and fast to heat up.

Nice located accommodation near the train station, not far from the city-centre and with a free on-site parking spot. The rooms are poorly soundproofed, a bit old and worn out. Very very small and old bathroom with a tiny little sink. The beds were comfy. Breakfast was very nice and located in a lovely environment. Enough for one night.

I liked the Place of the hotel as near to the center of Oulu. Also sauna in the room was nice, although we did not used it. In the room also a freezer for our own juice and bread. The furniture in the breakfast room was a little bit old fashioned.

Very good staff, but small room and bathroom
The owner is very nice and helpful and good breakfast but room was small and bathroom too small Almost impossible to use the sink for brushing your teeth.

Very noisy at night due to Night club opposite hot
I stayed week nights but it was very noisy, people were fighting outside hotel on the street till 2-4am. I didn't know there is a night club just opposite the narrow street, making this street very noisy till early hours of morning even on weekdays.

Awesome Stay in the heart of Oulu!
I have a lot of time for the BW Hotel Apollo. It is so different to most hotels I've been to, which is why it is even more refreshing and why I keep coming back. The rooms albeit very compact with the bathrooms even more so, are super comfortable, the single bed and duvets supplied are the best I've ever slept in! The staff are very warm and engaging, and will do their very best in whichever way they can to help you. The free breakfast is plentiful, and is of a high standard! Another fantastic perk about this hotel is that they serve tea and coffee all day in the Coffee Stop, and that they also leave sweet pastries and fruit out for stayers to enjoy whilst watching the world go by out the big windows. The hotel also has free parking, of which is a big staying point, however in line with the style of the hotel the parking lot is of a very compact style, and the spaces are first come first serve so I recommend arriving early to avoid missing out! Only downside of the hotel is that the Wi-Fi is painfully slow, this did not bother me as I had a good 4G service, but I know this could be a real irritation to some folks. All in all, I love staying at the Hotel Apollo, and I gladly recommend it to anyone seeking something a bit different and Bohemian!

Good stay. Hotel close to railway station. Ground floor bar/disco open until 05:00 didn't cause a problem, just some rowdies disturbing sleep briefly in the early hours. Rooms at end of hotel away from this OK. Breakfast buffet good.

Wonderful Stay
Spent three nights in this lovely hotel. It is not a big facility, but has a lot of personalities, very friendly staff. Love the private sauna in my room !! The heated glass in the breakfast keeps the area so COZY !! Feel wonderful when the outside temperature was minus 17 C. Love the tea, coffee and cookies offered through the day in the lobby area.

Room quite basic, with tiny, rather cramped WC/shower room. TV made strange buzzing noise and had a limited choice of channels. Quiet at night despite central location near to railway station and shopping area. Reception staff pleasant and efficient. Excellent breakfast included in room price, with a good choice of hot and cold food.

The hotel version of the tiny house craze = GREAT!
Don't let your initial reaction to the room spoil your stay. It may be tiny, but this was a great stay! Incredibly comfortable beds in a well-designed small space. Would have preferred no mini-bar so that the refrigerator could be used to store our own bottled water and snacks, but that is my only complaint - and it's a mild one! Breakfast is a huge elaborate buffet with tons of options and good coffee. The hotel keeps food out all day as well as coffee and a self-serve espresso kiosk, and we enjoyed being able to sit in the lobby at a table to talk and enjoy a coffee and pastry mid-afternoon. Rooms are virtually sound-proof. As mentioned - a great night's sleep. Did not get to check out the sauna - my only regret - but the location is perfect for access to train, bus, city center, food and more. Last but not least - GREAT hotel staff. I highly recommend, and would stay here again if visiting Oulu for sure!

Staff were the only saving of this stay
Room was small and poky with the single bed being uncomfortable. Room information should be honestly represented in online booking information. No value for money and so bland and basic especially for the price - comparing to other hotels I have stayed at in the last 5 months of travel. I have stayed in much better (not even starred) for much less nightly rate charge. I would seriously think twice before I stayed again at any properties of this global hotel chain.

The room was comfortable and I appreciated being able to make a hot drink. The wifi and tv worked well. I was lucky and found a parking space but there were not all that many for the size of the hotel (also at Oct 2016 roadworks make access to car park a bit tricky - not hotel's fault at all). Very convenient for the city centre.

Erittäin mukava pikku hotelli Oulun keskustassa. Hotellin edessä on parkkipaikkoja kadulla, mutta ovat ilmaisia 18-08 ja sunnuntaisin myös tottakai. Huoneet pieniä mutta siistejä, ikkunan saa auki ja hyvä aamiainen.
