Bel hotel mais les chambres ne sont pas rénovées comme le reste de l'hotel.

Small rooms, comfortable bed.

Hotel rooms are tired. Bathrooms need upgrade (bathtub chipped). Closet door would not close. Corridor carpets wornand faded. Fitness area is excellent. Large, good equipment and bright with big windows. Restaurant is very good.

Customer was not satisfied

Posted 29-Nov-2016
Parking was very confusing and surprised there was no valet parking option. However, I was unimpressed when I asked to rent a cot. They assumed I had more than 4 people in my room I guess so they didn't give me one cause of fire restrictions. Then I felt I had to explain because my child was sick. Then they still said I had two double beds I should still have enough room. They Just should have let me rent this cot so we could be all more comfortable. So I just told her I would manage in the end, she knew I was upset. I've always rented a cot from every hotel I've been too, it's not like I wanted it free of charge. Anyway, I'll book someplace else next time.

A nice hotel in downtown Ottawa.

Posted 22-Nov-2016
Pros: The downtown location was perfect. Across the street from the Rideau Center and a few minutes walk to the Byward Market.
Cons: The tourist brochures, maps etc. were out of site. I only found them by accident. They should be in full view of the front desk.
Location: See above.
We were in Ottawa for the weekend to visit our grand daughter who is at college there. I would prefer meals in the restaurant to be served on plates instead of "butcher boards". Someone had a good idea but just not practical. (What could be improved) area below didn't have enough characters.

Love the elk burger.

Posted 21-Nov-2016
Pros: Close to everything. Great staff.
Location: Parliament. Shopping. National Arts Centre, National Art Gallery.
And the brunch, which was wonderful. Room was fairly modern with a nice view of downtown and Ottawa's heritage buildings. The Rideau Centre food court is literally just across the street.

Pillows were a bit lumpy and room was a bit dated.

belle suite

Posted 21-Nov-2016

Great place for business professionals

Posted 20-Nov-2016
One of my least favourite places to stay in Ottawa is the Westin, which is directly connected to the Ottawa Convention Centre. The Novotel, which is the hotel this review is about, is next door to the convention centre, and is everything the Westin is not: quiet; cozy; economical. If a short walk works for you, staying at the Novotel for an event at the Ottawa Convention Centre is a better alternative than the pricier, noisier, more chaotic hotel conected to the centre.
