From the moment you walk into the hotel, you'll notice the contemporary and renovated lobby, iMacs and a nice bar on the right. The hotel staff were very friendly and quick. The hotel itself very conveniently located and in walking distance to all the pubs and restaurants of Byward Market. There's some construction along Nicholas Street but there's still a small pathway to get to Rideau St.
I had room 324 which faced inwards and I had a nice view of all the nice rooftop mechanical equipment and louvers, one level down. Surprisingly noise was not an issue. Getting to the room from the corridor was a trip, as the corridors a bit more convoluted than one would expect.
The room was nice and clean, and also looks like it's been recently renovated. The washroom was a nice treat, with interesting floor tiles and enough counter space. The tub didn't drain too well, so my foot was in couple inches of water at all times. Fortunately nothing came back out of the drain.
TV was a bit small, but was tolerable. There's a nice long desk for setting up your laptop and work.
Overall very satisfied with this hotel.
