Hilton seems to forget the fundamental tenet of operating a hospitality business -- guests should be comfortable and feel they are welcome. Some staff are ill-trained or were trained for the military. 1. The receptionist telling guests to just follow the waiter where they would be seated and should not request where (when there were lots of tables to choose from?) 2. Breakfast buffet telling guests they cannot warm their croissant (the available toaster is only for sliced breads, none for other breads) nor they should ask staff to warm them in the kitchen (overheard a staff telling another lady that this would be the last time he would warm the bread for her because he is avoiding a scenario where everybody asks the same request!). Can't they just place another toaster beside the slice bread toaster?! 3. While the room was cleaned thoroughly, the staff replaced the paper cup with a new one. Unfortunately, this new cup was already used -- as a pen holder. The ink marks at the bottom of the cup led me to that conclusion. 4. The parking checker passive-aggressively pseudo-interrogated my wife telling her how she perfectly parked our car and then pointed to it (a car slightly occupying another slot). But that was not our car! - so he just assumed, for whatever reason, it is hers without even waiting a few seconds to confirm if indeed the car he is identifying was hers or not! He stopped talking after realizing his assumption was wrong. Check-in/out were great though!
