This walkable downtown 5 bedroom home has everything you need for your Oscoda getaway! You can't beat the location...less than a block to Oscoda Beach Park which boasts a beautiful sandy beach, picnic area, skate park, kids play area and splash pad plus the new Oscoda observation pier! Get your morning coffee, pastries or breakfast sandwich right across the street at the local coffee shop. Within 1-2 blocks you'll find multiple ice cream shops, bars, restaurants, quaint shopping and a movie theater! A new bike and walking path is also only 2 blocks away! Don't forget the surrounding areas...East Tawas, AuSable River hiking and rafting, Lumberman's and Canoer's Monuments, Alpena and more are all just a short drive away! Walk in the front door and to the left you'll see the beautifully remodeled living room with a large screen TV and plenty of seating. To the right is the oversized kitchen (table seats 10!) fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals for your group (plus a gas BBQ outside). There's even a second refrigerator in the garage in case you need the extra space. The home includes 5 bedrooms and sleeps 11\. There is a queen bedroom on the main level with an ensuite bathroom. Upstairs, you'll find 4 additional bedrooms; one with a king size bed, two bedrooms with full size beds and one with a double bunk (full size on the bottom and twin on top). No need to overpack...the laundry room includes a full size washer/dryer plus iron and ironing board! We provide all the bed linens and plenty of towels as well (even beach towels!). There is one full bath on the main level (including a bathtub) and one 3/4 bath upstairs (shower only - no bathtub). Additionally, a newly added shower can be found in the breezeway which is perfect for washing off the sand and sunscreen before coming in the house! Need some extra space to spread out...the finished basement includes a large TV and additional seating area! Rest and relax outside on the beautiful grounds! Enjoy the front porch seating and catch a glimpse of the sunset! Head to the back yard and you'll find a deck with ample seating and views of Lake Huron and the Pier. A fire pit can also be found in the backyard for nightly bonfires. While this home is new to us, we have been short term rental hosts for over 10 years and know what guests want and expect. This home will not disappoint! We spent a long weekend as a treat with our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. The house is beautiful, pristinely clean, and it really does have EVERYTHING. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you could possibly need, there were tons of towels, and we loved the backyard firepit and grilling area. The furniture and beds were comfortable, too. We loved being so close to the beach, and had a great time just enjoying the gorgeous house as well as the Oscoda/Au Sable area. Karen was a gracious and attentive host. Amazing! Location, cleanliness, space, amenities. We were a family of eight adults and three children 2 years old and under with lots of paraphernalia! Plentiful storage space in cabinetry, closets and built in shelving gave us room to spread out without feeling cramped.Morning coffee on the front porch, tanning on the upper deck, a quiet respite in the comfy basement. Days at the beach, which is a two minute walk away, were delightful using the on site chairs, umbrellas, and plentiful beach towels, plus float and sand toys. Don’t miss the breezeway shower.Fenced backyard with grill and fire pit offered an oasis of safety and fun for the littles and family meals. Well equipped kitchen made meal prep seamless and the large table provided space for eating and lots of card games.
