The cabin is located half a mile from Weaubleau Creek where there is boat launch access that feeds the Osage River and Truman lake. The property boarders nearly 900 acres of Corps of Engineers premier public hunting land and is just 25 miles from Lucas Oil Speedway. If you are planning a hunting/fishing trip or just looking to escape the noise of the city, you will be sure to find the tranquil forest views peaceful and relaxing at this completely secluded cabin in the woods. The property sits on 35 acres and comes with access to a private wet weather creek. Hunting and exploring are only permitted on public land for safety reasons. This cabin has everything you need for a snowy day indoors or can offer the perfect home base to warm up or cool down after a long day of outdoor activities. The large screened in porch is perfect for enjoying the outdoors at all hours of the day, and large enough for an air mattress if you are needing extra sleeping space with a camping experience. In the morning the sun was out and we saw just how beautiful the property was! I just couldn't resist. It's really good if you have dogs because it is in the woods, but there is a fence around the property. The immediate area has been cleared so you get about 50-100 feet of space to move around before dense forest. The cabin itself is nice and has internet and tv and power and water. Again, this is a hunting cabin, so it's smaller, but everything is high quality. When I go to VRBO cabins, I make sure it is far from civilization, so I love the seclusion, but be warned that you are about 15 minutes from the city, so don't expect to "walk home from the bar". Finally, as with so many other VRBO address identifiers, the GPS takes you to the back end of the property, where there is no access. My advice is to contact the host and ask for a screenshot of the gate, and match that up with GPS. Finally, and this is very important, the front gate is almost unrecognizable until you are about 5 feet from it. So plan to arrive during the day. I would recommend to the host to install some solar power light to identify the gate. ##### JC D.
