There are 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths plus two additional queen roll-out sofas. All 3 bedrooms have queen beds. Enjoy the lakeside picnic grounds and kayaking, relax on the patio and watch the boating activity, grill your supper or eat out, then let the sound of nature lull you to sleep at night. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, range, microwave, dishwasher and side bar for your favorite beverages. Enjoy dinners inside in the dining area or outside on the patio so you don't miss the beautiful weather and wildlife! Or, there are several restaurants nearby from casual to fine dining. There is also a big green egg and and offset smoker grill if you like to BBQ. There is a nice, private firepit just outside the front door for your enjoyment. The Norton House is located west of Camdenton right where the Big Niangua tributary changes from a river to the Lake of the Ozarks. You'll be 'lured' to the Lake where the fishing is amazing for catfish, bass, crappie and walleye. Or play golf at either of two courses, Lake Valley Country club or Old Kinderhook (a Tom Weiskoph signature course). One of the best features of this property and its sister rental, The Chardonel House, is the easy access to the Lake of the Ozarks. The lakeside picnic grounds is a short walk down the hill from the house or you can drive down the concrete driveway to the park. About a hundred yards up the driveway from the house is an open-aired pavilion clubhouse with games to enjoy or just sit and take in the lake view. You have free access to 4 kayaks, singles or doubles, for the length of your stay (a $100.00 value) and can pack a nice picnic lunch and your favorite beverages to enjoy while leisurely paddling the Niangua! Please note that in early spring the Lake water level is drawn down about 5 feet to make ready for the spring rains but you can still launch the kayaks from our dock in the shallower water. Overall everything was fantastic. The only issue we had was there was a bathroom missing soap and the trash can in the kitchen was small for 8 people. There was also a very full kitchen with all the pans and utencils you could ask for. The property was gorgeous and we loved the quiet space and access to the lake. Séjour de 4 nuits en juillet 2025 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Angie L. 1 août 2025 Points forts : Propreté #### Family vacation We took our adult children and our two dogs (with approval) for a week long vacation. The house is very clean and the perfect size for 6 adults. The back deck has a beautiful view of the lake. We loved the outdoor furniture and want some for our house now! We all enjoyed the lake with access to canoe, paddle boards, and kayaking. The grounds are well kept and looked like a private park with access to picnic tables and disc golf. We rented a boat for a few days from Lake Runners Boat Rental. They delivered the boat right to the house dock and were very easy to work with. The clubhouse is a fun asset and we enjoyed playing games when it cooled off. We loved having the grill and cooked most of our meals at the house. We did get carry out from Tavern Smokehouse and Pappos. Would recommend both of those places, the food was delicious. We also ate in at Wicked Willies and the food was also phenomenal. My husband and I snuck away one afternoon to visit Riverbird winery. Beautiful view and great wine. Good communication with the owners regarding check in and out. Nice view of the lake. Plenty of outdoor seating. We saw so much wildlife, we enjoyed taking the kayaks out and seeing the cave, we loved sitting out and relaxing on the back porch overhanging the lake and relaxing down by the water as well. My husband was happy as he got to finish 3 books while we were there, I got all my kayaking in, and our kids got to enjoy swimming and playing board games. The home is beautifully decorated in cabin style!! Barb and Ward were extremely responsive to any questions we had as well. We really enjoyed the "quieter" end of the lake. The kayaks and paddleboards were so fun for all of us. The dock was adequate for our 2 day boat rental. Séjour de 4 nuits en juin 2025 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Faisal A., Liberty, MO 9 juin 2025 Points forts : Propreté Excellent property with fully stocked kitchen and good fun with various games at the pavilion (a short uphill walk from Norton house). Good proximity to HaHa Tonka State Park and not too far from other restaurants & attractions.The property is located on hill coming down towards the lake. So the pavilion is at highest point, then another house midway down followed by Norton house, and then finally the kayaks & dock at lowest point at lake level (another walk from house). Launching kayak from ground level into water was more difficult... we found it easier using the dock, even if that means carrying the kayak to that point. Backside of Norton house has small balcony facing the lake, which would be more enjoyable as a larger deck with more capacity. We were more than impressed at how beautiful the house was. Very spacious and well decorated. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and the kitchen and dining room were also immaculate. The view was incredible and all of the amenities were great. The owners were friendly, accommodating and very responsive with every question or update. The property was incredibly clean, comfortable, and had every amenity we could have possibly needed – and then some. We had a blast using the kayaks, paddle boat, and fishing off the dock. The rec room was a great option for a fun, rainy evening. Plus, we were super close to grocery stores, restaurants, and a park when we ventured out for some outdoor fun.
