The Norton House sits right on the Lake with a breathtaking view of the Big Niangua arm and features wood floors and a newly renovated kitchen with granite countertops, flat screen televisions and free wi-fi. There are 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths plus two additional queen roll-out sofas. All 3 bedrooms have queen beds.

Enjoy the lakeside picnic grounds and kayaking, relax on the patio and watch the boating activity, grill your supper or eat out, then let the sound of nature lull you to sleep at night.

The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, range, microwave, dishwasher and side bar for your favorite beverages. Enjoy dinners inside in the dining area or outside on the patio so you don't miss the beautiful weather and wildlife! Or, there are several restaurants nearby from casual to fine dining. There is also a big green egg and and offset smoker grill if you like to BBQ. There is a nice, private firepit just outside the front door for your enjoyment.

The Norton House is located west of Camdenton right where the Big Niangua tributary changes from a river to the Lake of the Ozarks. You'll be 'lured' to the Lake where the fishing is amazing for catfish, bass, crappie and walleye. Or play golf at either of two courses, Lake Valley Country club or Old Kinderhook (a Tom Weiskoph signature course).

One of the best features of this property and its sister rental, The Chardonel House, is the easy access to the Lake of the Ozarks. The lakeside picnic grounds is a short walk down the hill from the house or you can drive down the concrete driveway to the park.

About a hundred yards up the driveway from the house is an open-aired pavilion clubhouse with games to enjoy or just sit and take in the lake view.

You have free access to 4 kayaks, singles or doubles, for the length of your stay (a $100.00 value) and can pack a nice picnic lunch and your favorite beverages to enjoy while leisurely paddling the Niangua! Please note that in early spring the Lake water level is drawn down about 5 feet to make ready for the spring rains but you can still launch the kayaks from our dock in the shallower water.

No matter what your perception of a perfect vacation is, you won't be disappointed with the relaxation and serene feeling you will have when you leave this refreshing property!

Springbreak get away!
This was our first time to Lake of the Ozarks, and we had a great time ! The home was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. We saw several deer and lots of birds, including a Bald Eagle! The kids really enjoyed the games in the clubhouse, kayaking, and basketball. We loved the fact that the home was a close drive to Ha Ha Tonka state park, Bridal Cave, and waterfront restaurants. Thanks for a great experience! We are excited to visit again ! Ashley

Great as always
This was our 8th year visiting the Norton House. It is such a magical place with all the space you could need for a group of friends. Plenty of bathrooms, a nice big kitchen, dining, and living area. The outdoor space is perfect, with the fire pits at the house and down by the lake. It is very serene and peaceful. The hosts are great and responsive. We had a wonderful time as usual!

Kayaking fun at the Norton House
Kayaking was the very best. Lake was quiet. The beds were comfy. Information provided was great. We would have liked to know more about the elevation of the area as we both have bad knees. Beautiful place. Wonderful views. Saw the sunset from the patio one night and one night from the deck. Got to see the cave and the sunrise while kayaking. The kayaks were very dirty and we did spend quite a bit of time clearing the one we used. It would have been nice to have had that done for us. Overall a wonderful stay.

I have stayed at other places and they were always nice but this place is well maintained, very clean and comfortable. I could not get off the back deck. Its view of the lake is so beautiful. Quick Getaway With Friends
We had a great time at the Norton house. Our original purpose for coming to the lake was for a concert at the Ozark Amphitheater. When I saw kayaks were included in the stay I knew this was the place for our group as we are avid yakers. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. Kayaking to the Ha Ha Tonka spring and onyx cave (about 6 Mile round trip) kept us busy before the concert. Our only complaint is not being able to stay longer! We hope to return soon. Thanks Barb and Ward for your hospitality.

The Norton cabin exceeded my expectations. You walk in and the aroma of cedar envelopes you. The decor and furniture are all comfortable. The kitchen had almost everything we needed, although I did have to sharpen the kitchen knives as they were beyond dull. We made use of both the BGE for an amazing brisket and the offset smoker for pork belly burnt ends. The use of the clubhouse was fun just wished the dock was closer. The water at the dock was not the best for swimming, it was very hot and slimy. We decided to go swim at ha ha tonka instead. Not the owners fault I know the weather has been very hot, but if your used to running off the dock and jumping in the water, probably not the best location for that. Otherwise we made the best of our trip and look forward to coming back to the lake soon.
