"An excellent hotel well located in beautiful Ortig"
This hotel is luxurious while remaining friendly. Breakfast is very good and tea coffee and wine are freely available in a beautiful guest lounge. It is well located for all the sights in Ortiga.Staff are extremely helpful
We stayed in a sea-view room, and the view was amazing. The hotel is not new, but maintained well and decorated with a style which you imagine for a hotel in Sicily.
It was easy to walk around to the sights and restaurants/bars.

Grand seafront hotel rising above an old harbour wall, less than 500 metres from the cathedral and historic Isle of Ortigia …More
The hotel is in the historic part of town and within a couple of minutes you can be wandering through the Ortigia streets or along the water front.
We requested a room with a sea view and though technically we got that please be aware that some rooms have a mezzanine floor and it is not quite the same.
The room service is excellent and the breakfast is varied with very helpful and polite staff. Sitting out on the terrace looking over the bay makes a stunning way of starting the day.
They have their own parking area outside the hotel and there is no need to go into the restricted zone to get there.
Hotel is in a great location being on the Duomo Piazza. Most things are within 5 mins walk including bars, restaurants monuments and beach. Well beach is a little stretch as it is shingle/rock and small. But we enjoyed it. And the Hotel provided towels. The hotel itself was in excellent condition and very clean. We had the basic room which was a good size and well decorated and equipped with a comfy bed. Minor grumble on the free TV channels (about 200, there was only one English channel - BBC World News). Staff were all friendly and helpful, my only comment would be that the reception staff were never the same, so not able to build a relationship with them. Whilst we were there the hotel had a major issue with the hot water system but they handled it extremely well by offering use of its sister hotel and paying for cabs there and back. BTW the sister hotel was also very well kept. They managed to get the water fixed in just over 24 hours so limited impact. The staff could not do enough to ensure we were OK and kept informed. Breakfast was good but would tend to run low with 30 mins still to spare. However again the staff were helpful. Overall a very good hotel, which I would certainly return to and recommend. Excellent..
This is a beautiful hotel located right on the water in Ortygia. The lobby is elegant with its marble staircase, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. They arranged to park our car and made dinner reservations for us. Our room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the sea and a lovely view. The bathroom was like an ultra-modern spa! Huge shower/tub with wall jets, marble floors, comfy robes--pure luxury. We walked across the street to swim, entering the sea via an easy stairway. Pure heaven. The sumptuous breakfast was served on the 4th floor, with windows all around overlooking the sea. Wonderful place!

The room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and the hotel was within easy walking distance of everything on Ortygia including less than 5 minutes from a number of great restaurants. There was also a bus stop just across the street for easy access to mainland Syracuse. Everything we could've asked for!
