We had a hiccup with our room upon check in, but Marcello at reception quickly problem solved and management could not have been more accommodating. We had a delightful, large, quiet, superior deluxe room for our stay. We slept beautifully. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and delicious. The hotel overlooks the sea and is within strolling distance to all the sights, restaurants and boutiques of charming Ortigia.
On arrival, there was nowhere to park up and leave the car. So we unloaded our luggage quickly while parked right outside the main entrance. We then had to drive to the Talete area ( near the bridges) to park safely and for free overnight. Not such a big deal - it's a 10-15 minute walk back to the hotel in sunshine through quaint little streets. There are actually 2 parking spaces allocated to the hotel to the left of the front door and we were lucky enough to be able to use 1 of these spaces on 3 nights during our stay. The cleanliness and comfort of the room, location, friendliness and efficiency of the staff together with a very good breakfast all more than compensated for any parking inconvenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Maniace and hope to stay there again.
Everything about the hotel is brilliant, from the location, everything on the island is within easy walking distance. The service is great, as soon as you arrive the car is parked for you, great breakfast. Unique decor adds to the experience!
The hotel was a good choice. Although we did not have sea view the room was spacious and clean. Our extractor fan in our bathroom was not working but apart from that all else was fine.! The views from the breakfast area are stunning and the breakfast also plentiful and good. The spa was a wonderful treat at the end of the day. We would most definition return and recommend.

Great Stay. I was taken by the kindness and generosity of the staff. The property is clean and tidy. Not overly adorned but simple, modern (by the standards of the island) and efficient. The location is good and if you spring for the extra 25 euros then I'm sure there is no better view for the price.

We spent two nights in Orchigia. The hotel is beautiful and has a very well kept internal chapel. The chapel entrance is through the hotel lobby so it becomes almost exclusive to the hotel. There is also a nice terrace with a nice view to the sea. The staff is very friendly and everything is within walking distance. The breakfast is very good

My wife and I had an amazing stay at B&B La Via della Guidecca, which was the second stop on our honeymoon. The location is perfectly situated in Ortigia, within a short walking distance of all the attractions on the island, and within a few minutes from two incredible rocky beaches. The B&B staff were all super helpful with recommendations for sights/restaurants/excursions and they even helped us research the train/hydrofoil travel to our next destination in Sicily. They also emailed us beforehand to let us know the best way to get to the hotel from Siracusa. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide range of meats, cheeses, fruits, breads, cereal, pastries, and tea/coffee/juices - we always left full and ready for a day of exploring. They even invited us early for breakfast the day we were leaving, so we could catch our morning train. TOP TIP - if it's your honeymoon, tell them! We were upgraded from a double-room to a beautiful suite on the top floor, which was spacious, well decorated, comfortable, and clean. And the views of Ortigia from the large balcony were breathtaking. The air conditioning was also good, which was nice when we returned from a full day of walking around in Sicilian-summer heat. This B&B is HIGHLY recommended.
