The rooms smell damp must. There was no hot water and when they come to look at it they said they needed to get into the wall, but didn’t fix. The next day the toilet and tub backed up, couldn’t shower. The staff was friendly, kept the hotel clean and used a good mask for the smell of cleaning solution. I would never stay here again

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now the first time it was as if I found a gem as this location is incredibly close to the entrance of Universal and the turnpike. This time around I decided to bring some family along. Initially it was all about the same until we put our things in the fridge which was advertised as an amenity of the rooms. After about an hour we checked on some things and the fridge was not cooling at all. I called the front desk and the front desk girl showed up and disconnected and replugged the fridge and told me to wait an hour and see if it had cooled down if not they would get me a new one or move me to another room. Sounded fair so I did just that and took some stuff out as well in hopes of it working, when I checked in an hour it was the same temperature (warm). So i called again and was told they had no other fridges and no other rooms so to rotate my things and take things out because they had no other solutions. That being said I had perishables and was traveling with my 60 year old father in law who needed these things at a moments notice to take his medication with. I went to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager and they told me they would call me in the morning. It was my father in laws idea to unplug it for a few hours since it may have frosted over that saved all of our food and money. The manager never called and I didn’t bother I just won’t be coming back, incredibly inconsiderate and bad hospitality. Says a lot about management.

This property was only a short drive to the convention center with very little traffic. It was needing some updating (carpet worn through on stairs, baseboards need painting, bathtub had been cleaned so many times the white top coat was worn off) and there is no elevator to get to the second floor. It was clean and quiet - just a place to sleep but not someplace to enjoy amenities.

The staff were ok, one person was very helpful. The facilities were in poor condition, bathtub in each room i changed to was worn and the faucets were in need of repair. 1st room I was put into was dano and smelled like mold. I even turned on the heat and it just made it worse. 2nd room stunk like someone urinated in a corner and only smelled when the AC unit kicked in rotating the dank smell around. The 3rd room was decent but again, the bathroom in every room needed some type of repair.

We got there late on Friday night and the check-in process was quick and easy. At first we got a room that smelled bad, like there was previous water damage. We called the front desk and they asked us to come back down. They immediately switched our room and the second one had no problems. The hotel is a little old but well maintained. The continental breakfast was sufficient for what we needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We checked out on Sunday morning and we were able to leave our bags until Sunday night while we did some activities in the area. We will be returning again.

So close to Universal it was insane, the staff was so nice and kind and everything was extremely clean. 4 stars because sometimes at night the our conditioning smelt a little burnt.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. This is my fourth time staying there. It’s a great value for the money, close to restaurants, the I-trolley line is easily accessible.
