Great Location

Posted 24-Mar-2017
Pros: The location
Location: Disney Springs has lots of dining and shopping experiences as well as entertainment.
We like this hotel because it's so convenient to take the boat to Disney Springs where there's lots to do.

Very good place to stay.

Posted 22-Mar-2017
Pros: location
Cons: size of rooms
Location: magic kingdom
We had a good experience at the Port Orleans French Quarter. The room was a little small, but comfortable beds and clean. A good value for a park hotel.

Mid-priced Disney Resort

Posted 22-Mar-2017
Pros: Proximity to the parks, price
Cons: More staff. Rooms could use some upgrading.
Location: Great proximity to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios
This was a decent mid-priced hotel, close to all of the Disney parks. I have stayed at several Disney Resort hotels but this one was a bit disappointing. The room/bathroom was very small...difficult for 4 women to get ready in the mornings. There were extremely long wait times at the front desk in the mornings and the food in the quick serve restaurant was not very good. That said, it was very convenient to get to and from the parks as there were several forms of free transportation available. I think the staff did a good job but seemed like they were a bit under staffed to handle the morning crowds. I am not sure that I would stay at this particular resort again.

An okay experience

Posted 15-Mar-2017
Overall, I would not rebook the French Quarter. The resort is outdated and cramp and the beds and the decor was not Disney feeling. The food was always missing something for breakfast or dinner. I am shocked that the resort had 4+ stars. It was more a 3 star experience. Pros: pool, transportation, game room, water taxi to springs Cons: room size, outdated, uncomfortable beds, cafeteria food

Beautiful hotel and surrounding gardens.

We loved how quiet the area was. Beautiful landscaping. Room was nice, beds were comfortable. Had a fridge. The pool area was nice and kid friendly. Kids loved the playground. The food in the restaurant was pretty good for the most part. Loved the beignets the best. You'll have to try them.

The hotel and staff were nice but the beds weren't as comfortable as I would expect for the price paid. Access to the resorts was excellent and having the water taxi for Disney springs was nice.

Quiet Disney resort

Nice get away from Disney parks. You almost forget you are in Disney. Kids were looking for more Disney in the hotel but the parents were not.

Great resort for older Disney fans.

Being in my late seventies resort is smaller and has shorter walks to transportation and food area. Boat ride to Disney Springs a plus. Loved the French Quarter theme.

Great theme, good people. Love the benefits of the resort. Beds could be way more comfortable, but overall good stay.
