Situated only 15 minutes’ walk (or 3 minutes by car) from the bustling town of Orgiva, our lovely country house is at the end of a private track ensuring a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Accommodation includes 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, which is accessible from the rear porch, a modern bathroom comprising of a walk-in shower, hand basin and low level w/c. A Travel cot can be made available on request. The main living area is open plan comprising of the lounge with log burner and fitted kitchen. To the rear of the house there is a large porch with its own bar, dining area, door to 2nd bedroom and additional seating. The large private garden surrounds the house, with a swimming pool to the side and a patio for barbeques. Additional benefits include WI-FI, a gated entrance, car port and double glazed doors and windows. La maison est très bien équipée, notamment pour ce qui est de la cuisine. La propriété permet de se reposer de plusieurs manières, autour de la maison, près de la piscine, à l'abri des oliviers, sous la pergola. Le parking privé et ombragé est un plus. La piscine est assez grande et la filtration efficace. Par contre, il manque certaines choses pour que le séjour soit parfait : une vraie cafetière pour le petit déjeuner, il n'y a qu'une machine à expresso, il manque aussi un sèche cheveux, des saladiers, des ampoules un peu partout, surtout à l'extérieur. Quant à la piscine, la pompe ne tournait pas, donc pas très propre et pas envie de se baigner. A part ça, Peter est très gentil et accueillant. Il nous avait laissé une bouteille de vin ce qui est vraiment sympathique. Nous sommes arrivés un dimanche soir, et une bouteille d'eau aurait également été appréciée. ##### Philippe A. The villa was great & totally secluded - had everything we needed - the pool was fantastic - not overlooked. Sunset over the mountains was a highlight. Plenty of shade. Pete helpful upon arrival & didn’t both us at all while we were there. Didn’t see him after check in. Our 3 year old son had such a fun time exploring the grounds & playing in the pool. Really expansive shade to keep him protected. Orgiva is a gateway to the seaside, traditional Spanish towns, Granada & beyond. We were met by Peter, the most affable of hosts, whose recommendations about what to do and where to eat were extremely useful. Peter met us and directed us to the property which was walking distance (<15 mins) from Órgiva but nicely isolated. The place was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. There was a supermarket and other stores in Órgiva and lucky for us some ripe pomegranates in the garden too! One note for those with younger children is the second bedroom is off the terrace so not connected directly to the main house - this was fine for us and is clear in the description but worth flagging as might not fit so well for younger children. The pool was clean and perfect for a dip and the garden really spacious - we especially enjoyed the terrace where we ate most meals. Locally so much is accessible - we walked into Orgiva a few times and especially enjoyed the market, the library (Don Quixote exhibit!) and eating at Baraka. We also had a lovely coffee and snacks at the Cafe Galinda Plaza. We visited some of the white villages and loved Trevelez -we ate well at the restaurante la fragua- and left with plenty of ham. The kids enjoyed the 3 pigs trail. Kids also enjoyed Soportuja - the witch theme was fun but also a beautiful village and views. We took water from the amazing fizzy spring at Portugos - mixed reviews - I loved it - kids said it 'tasted like old coins smell' - still worth a visit. Thanks so much to Peter for hosting us and providing a little local context. I hope we will be back to the area again in time! ##### Helen N. We stayed here for the first week of our honeymoon and we loved it! It’s very private and the garden is lovely with lots of fruit trees! We spent a few days by the pool and visiting nearby villages. Other days we went to Granada, to the Alhambra, went on some lovely hikes close by and just really had a full experience. Peter was very friendly and helpful.
