Nelson Bay is a 10 minute drive, and when you're not out exploring the region or enjoying the many beaches. Take a dip in the heated pool, share a friendly game of pool or tennis, watch your favourite movie in the media room, sit with a wine in front of the fireplace or relax in the alfresco dining area and take in the delightful sunsets over surrounding farmland. The open-plan living areas include a fully equipped kitchen with a massive butler's pantry and handy second fridge, lounge and a dining room. These living areas flow out to a covered alfresco entertaining area with a large dining setting overlooking the sizeable swimming pool and joins with the undercover back deck which houses the BBQ. Take a seat and watch the kids frolicking in the pool or take a dip yourself to cool off after a hit of tennis on the full size court. Gaze out over the tranquil views of the countryside while you enjoy a meal or listen to the children playing around the grounds. The comfortable media room and massive separate pool table room, which also has sofas, a large smart TV and seating around the pool table, provide two other delightful forms of entertainment. Sleeping up to 9 guests in 5 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, WIR and ensuite with double vanity. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, and bedroom 3 and 4 both have two long single beds which can be made into a king bed. Bedroom 5 has a single bed and a trundle bed. A sofa bed, is located in the media room. The family bathroom includes a bath to soak in after action-packed days or just to relax in with a wine. The Home Resort has all new furnishings and elegant yet relaxed coastal styling as a nod to its close proximity to Port Stephens many beautiful harbour and ocean beaches. ducted air-con throughout, a laundry with washer & dryer. The garage is not available for use, parking on driveway and street. BOND- $2000 is payable 14 days prior to your arrival and is refunded 3-5 days from your departure date. The main reason for renting it was access to the pool and tennis court, as we planned to spend most of our stay by the pool after several days at the beach at another property.Upon arrival, we wound back the pool cover and discovered that the plastic underlay showed clear signs of deterioration. The TV in the main living area was not functioning correctly, the Wi-Fi details were not initially available, and there were no amenities provided for use of the tennis court (such as tennis racquets and balls).Plastic fragments and particles of varying sizes from the deteriorating underlay were visible throughout the pool. I spent approximately 20 minutes cleaning the pool, only to find additional fragments at the bottom, not just on the surface. I did not feel comfortable allowing my family, particularly my daughters, to use the pool due to the risk of ingesting plastic.I was advised that someone would attend the property the following day to investigate and address the issues raised. However, given our limited time and the likelihood that the pool issue would not be resolved promptly in my opinion, we made the decision to depart early.We ultimately stayed at the Ramada Resort, where we were able to enjoy our remaining days.We will never be back to the Home Resort ##### Marck M.
