Beautiful surrounding fields and wooded lots for walks around the property. The cottage sits about a 150 yards off of a relatively busy road with vehicle noise that can be heard from the house. There is another home on the property that is occupied by a permanent resident however they were not seen or heard. The property is very close to many outdoor activities. We enjoyed skiing at the Black Mountain Cross Country Trail system about 20 minutes north. Communication with the host was perfect and check in/out was without difficulty. We cooked two nights and the kitchen was stocked with appropriate cookware. The flowers outside were lovely even though it is near the end of the season. The furniture was quite comfortable. Our favorite activity was sitting on the back porch. We enjoyed watching the peacocks and all the other birds and butterflies that came for the flowers. There was a huge thunderstorm while we were there and we both love the sound of rain on the roof. The downstairs bed was comfortable. We did not use the loft room. Our dog also enjoyed being there particularly laying on the back porch. The only disappointment was the road noise which surprised us but can't be helped. This is our second stay at the cabin and it was just as great as the first. It is clean, stocked with everything you could have possibly forgotten or need, and the bed is the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in.
