The new paint, wallpaper, carpets, and color schemes is perfect, and my King water view room was everything I wanted. \*EXCEPT\* that when I checked in at 4:15 and asked for a ground floor because my currently-disabled mom wanted to visit (she lives in town) and this hotel doesn't have an elevator. I was told that would be no problem, but that rooms are not ready yet. I get it, that happens, and they would call me as soon as it's ready. I had some food in the lounge restaurant, and went back to the front desk at 5:15\. Unfortunately, somehow there was no longer a ground floor room available. On a Tuesday, and the parking lot is mostly empty, so my mom didn't get to visit with me and enjoy a nice view. I'm probably going to stay there again as it's my fave hotel in my former hometown, but if I ever need anything not usual, I'm going to be double and triple checking, otherwise it's a nice place.
