When many think about Manila, the phrase "Pearl of the Orient" isn't what comes to mind. But before WW2 it was just that.

And this being my 10th year living here between a span of 1996 - 2015, I am convinced more than ever, that truly she is that.

Sometimes beauty is right there in front of you. And sometimes beauty is something that must be searched out.

As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And I love Manila...all her good, bad and ugly. :)

"- Chambre au 6eme étage, proches des ascenseurs : pour un hôtel de ce standing, les chambres sont super mal isolées (bruits du couloir, sonnerie de l’ascenseur constamment et toute la nuit, room services des chambres d’à côté, discussions chambres d’à côté, etc.). Très bruyant. - Douche tiède : pas d’eau chaude. Rien pour suspendre les serviettes à la salle de bain."
