The customer service was terrible. I realized I'd booked for the wrong month and repeatedly tried to contact them (both by Expedia Message as well as their website's Contact Us link) and they never replied. So I blew $40 on this place. They only replied to me when I gave them a lousy 'how was your check-in' response to Expedia, then said they would take care of me -- and then ignored me again. I ended up with a reservation at Hostal Plaza Major, right in the middle of Old Town, and had a great time there instead.

Don't be put off by hostel like check in area

Rooms are all newly renovated and hotel is good value. Good privacy and noise isolation from the main road

Room was very comfortable, clean and a good size. Staff spoke basic english, but it was more than enough to understand what they were trying to say, and gave a good guide of Salamanca Location is about 25 minutes from Salamanca Station but 10 minutes stroll to the main attractions. Supermarket & Cafes literally on the doorstep

El hostal está muy bien situado, a unos 8 minutos caminando al centro. La recepción está un poquitín anticuada, pero el resto del hostal está completamente reformado y las habitaciones son muy modernas y cómodas. El baño está puesto con mucho gusto. Respecto al aparcamiento, el hostal no dispone de parking propio, pero en las calles de alrededores fácil encontrar sitio y es gratis. Además hay varios parking de pago en la zona. Muy buena elección sin duda.
