Great location. Staff and service were great. Location is good for shops and restaurants but by 11pm it gets very noisy with people racing cars down Whyte and lots of broken bottles each morning.

Great area of Edmonton but parking is two blocks away and the system is poorly explained i.e. no parking slip to put on dash and then you wonder whether you are supposed to pay or NOT! Had to ask twice. Also had to ask about the VIP perk.

Very good boutique hotel in the heart of old Scona. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Staff were very accommodating and were able to offer me a quiet room not facing Whyte Ave. However, the parkade and outdoor stairwell was relatively isolated and I felt nervous using it at night after dinner. From inside the hotel, the above ground pedway leading to the outdoor stairwell was hard to find. I was directed to a side exit that led outside to a back alley. I would stay here again with friends but not as a solo traveller.

Very convenient being right on Whyte Avenue. Lots of unique shops, restaurants, etc. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Beds are comfortable, and we found it very quiet.

Bed sheets and pillow cases were stained and was not able to control the temperature in the room, was too warm and checked out of the hotel at 3:00 am, will never stay there again!

The facilities were sup-par. The hot water in the shower took a long time to work. The instructions for the coffee machine were unclear. The overall quality of bathroom amenities was below average.

Great hotel option if you need to be near the university. Many unique shops and eateries are located walking distance from the property. Onsite restaurant is amazing. Rooms are good sized and comfortable. Bathroom is a bit dated but clean and functional. Only complaint I had was the mattress of the king room I was in sagged in the middle and is in need of replacement.

We have stayed here many times, and it is a very nice hotel in a great location. The prices are starting to climb a bit high though.

They had some water freezing issue while we stayed in January. The hot water was an issue…but this was occurring all over. Edmonton was colder than the arctic circle. The staff and the management were very responsive. I like this hotel. Its older but very accommodating..The location is perfect. Close enough but also far enough from downtown.

Rooms Getting run down. Unfortunately there was blood on the bathroom wall in our first room. Second room was ok. Breakfast upgrade you still have to pay $10 for pretty greasy food. Unfortunately the Varscona isn’t what it used to be

The water did not get hot when wanting to shower. When it did get warm as soon as you pulled lever for shower i would loae the hot water. There was something strange on the closet door.
