Ok hotel

This hotel was better than some of the reviews I read. It is in need of update on the 1st floor that we stayed. Staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was good and there was a lot of choice for breakfast eater..

Paula thank you kindly. While we are not a 4 star upscale property we make every effort to take care of our guests and keep the place clean and offer a decent breakfast. We are putting in Simmons Beautyrest Pillow top mattresses, new carpet, new furniture and fresh coat of paint to all rooms. Appreciate your business and comments are taken to heart and acted upon. Close to the medical center

The hotel wasn't bad, just outdated and the carpets were dirty. Just needs an update. Staff was friendly. Just there to watch the eclipse so didn't stay long.

We are in process of updating the property. Brand new Simmons Beautyrest pillow tops. New carpet 2nd and 3rd floor and new vinyl on first. Updating all rooms and furniture. Road construction is ongoing and our main entrance is updated and open. We will be updating the parking lot as well.

Bad news

Stayed here while on vacation visiting family. The experience was less than I had hoped for. Issues we had: Ants invaded the room no matter what we tried to do nothing helped. The air conditioner I believe was leaking on the floor which is great when you are adjusting it while wearing socks. And also the stench in the room was horrible. We asked room to be cleaned it wasn't and we spoke to them about air conditioner and they never even acknowledged it.

Thanks for the feedback. My apologies. Pleased to report the ant issue has been resolved. Our pest control people went on a all out assault and got the ant problem solved. We updated the room top to bottom, replaced the ptac/ac unit. No more moisture problems.

Bed bugs!

I would not suggest this hotel to anyone until management does proper cleaning to get rid of the bed bugs.

We had our own housekeeping/maintenance as well as professional pest control staff and health dept go through the room with issues. We had the whole property examined and taken care of by professionals. Also our planned update called for new mattresses (Simmons Beautyrest pillowtops) and that is underway right now. You may not recognize the place next time you are here.

Pros: The staff was great.
They were in the process of changing out the mattress I going to assume I got an old one. But the overall stay was good yes I would use them again. The staff was great and very helpful.

Unsanitary

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Demolish and build a new hotel
Location: The surrounding area looks nice. A nice medical facility across the street from the hotel, which made me think this would be a decent place to stay.
Hotel was totally outdated. Hallway leading to room had a stench. The room itself had a different stench. There were ants crawling around the night stand and stains on the sheets. My daughter would not sleep under the sheet. She used her airplane blanket to cover herself. We were in town for the USATF National track championships. The total 48 hrs was an eye opener to how much money and time I was willing to drive to another location for a quality experience.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. We are working on a major update. You are right the area is driven by medical facilities and hospital and corporate related businesses and hotel will see a huge makeover. The old mall is gone and the 110 acres to the north will be redeveloped into a major commercial hub. In the same spirit the hotel will see renovation. Appreciate your business and patience.

You get what you pay for...

Pros: continental breakfast was ok even though it was usually mostly gone by 7am. The room was cleaned each day even though there was no tp when I got there
Cons: Staff friendliness was my main complaint
Location: Next to a hospital and a few stores. Location wasn't bad. About 10 minutes from Gardner which was good
I wouldn't call this the worst hotel I've ever stayed at but it ranks up there. The front entrance smelled like cigarette smoke all the time, the front desk staff were always preoccupied with something... often times ignoring me or telling me to come back later, the rooms were ok but the beds were hard as rocks, and the showers had crappy water pressure. I was glad to get out of there. Buyer beware!

My apologies for your less then desirable experience at our hotel. Breakfast during the week is standard Days Inn fare. Cereals, waffles, packaged omelets, toast, juices, fruit and a bit more on weekends....biscuits n gravy etc. Shawn GM
