Not a good hotel experience

Posted 12-Apr-2016
We were in town for my daughters softball tournament. I called at 3:30 pm to "check-in" and make sure our room was ready. I was told "yes, you have a room with 2 double beds." When we arrived after a day of softball at 10:15, I was informed "your room is not yet ready. It will be 10 minutes." We had 2 tired kids, a tired mom and a very irritated dad! By the way, "elevator is out of order!" Yes, we were on the top floor after our 30 minute wait. The next morning we arrive downstairs for breakfast at 7:00 where breakfast is not ready. "Still heating the gravy up" in the microwave. The cereal was top notch! Would not recommend this place to ANYONE!!

Pros: Close to any location you need to get to in Olathe.
Cons: Heat pool and make sure elevator smell is cleared up
Location: Close to hospital, parks, restaurants
This is my 3rd stay at this hotel. Breakfast room & food is great, beds okay, rooms clean. The last 2 times was cleaner than this time, the only negative was the elevator smelled like mold but never smelled bad the last 2 times. Also the inside pool is not heated and there is no hot tub.

Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Cleanliness of hotel rooms and beds being replaced.
Location: The mall right beside it is closed, numerous fast food restaurants but not much in the way of entertainment close to the hotel.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room still had dog food all over the floor from previous people, the shower was moldy and the carpet was sticky. Continental breakfast consisted of coffee, milk & juice (all which were out and informed of but didn't restock at 7:30am). I had attempted to make waffles but they were out of the mix to and said they would refill; 30 minutes later still no refill. The beds I continued to wake up all night because they were so destroyed, I could barely walk in the morning and I am a fairly young travel (not over 30), had the floor not been sticky I would have attempted to sleep on the floor instead. We ended up leaving early even though I purchased two nights, I stayed one and went some where else forfeiting my money.

Meh. Fine for a cheap in and out.

The place really does smell a lot like cigarettes. The room was tiny and as clean as it could be given the permanent condition of the building.
