You have to pay for air conditioning. Which is not acceptable during Japan summer. It needs to be posted that the air conditioning is not free on Expedia. Otherwise fantastic value for the cost. It is a good idea. But the actual property is terribly dirty. The room we stayed in had dust on everything, especially the fake plants. It felt uncomfortable being in the room with how dusty and unclean it was; the area around the bed was particularly bad, especially under the mattress which makes wanting to sleep on it impossible. The shared bathroom wasn't too dirty. If the hostel workers would just clean the rooms better we would've probably stayed since the price is really cheap. At least the front desk worker was kind enough to refund the following day's fare (we couldn't get a refund for the current day).
