We had a pool deck access room on the first floor.

Posted 19-Aug-2015
The room seemed luxurious and it has a great view from our room but the carpet was old and dated and we did have a bunch of fruit flies in our room. If you looked closely, the corners of the deck had dust/debris in them and the trim around doors and windows needed a spruce up. I think its time for this hotel to have a make over. The price is rather steep for this hotel and what you get; it should include a continental breakfast.

Wonderful atmosphere, convenient location

This hotel does not disappoint. We took in dinner at Local. It was delicious with wonderful flavours and an excellent local wine list. We spent a morning at the spa. Can't wait to return

Nice waterfront

Posted 31-Jul-2015
Has small beach, water toys to rent, outside pool, jacuzzi, restaurant next door. The only thing not pleasant is the splashing screaming kids in jacuzzi and parents not paying attention. The most annoying part is how the key card never worked each time we returned to our room and had to run down to get rescanned.

Hotel right on the beach....

Posted 28-Jul-2015
Pros: A wine tasting on arrival and the helpful reception staff
Cons: see above
Location: convenient to the Naramatta Bench Wineries.
The hotel staff on check in were very pleasant and accommodating. We had a nasty experience at the barbecue...we had our steaks on the bbq for our family and another mouthy guest came along wanting to crowd in and share the bbq (which was a little underpowered and would not sear the steaks well if more added) when we chose not to share he summoned the manager who supported him to barge in and share our bbq which we chose to resist. Generally we were happy with most of our stay however our two bedroom suite was a very small area and quite dated interior for the cost of the suite.

Great waterfront jotel

Posted 25-Jul-2015
We stayed here with one child and one dog. The hotel us modern, clean and comfortable. Our two bedroom suite had a full kitchen, two baths and laundry. Very convenient. The patio was the perfect spot to eat dinner. The buildings are well designed so it's easy for kids to find their way to the beach. The waterfront walkway is pretty and very naturalized. It's a very short walk to the public beach and dog park/dog beach although for those without dogs, there's a private resort beach also. Condo had lots of beach towels and kitchen utensils, cooking pots etc. we'd stay here for much longer in the future!

Great facility but a little remote

Posted 22-Jul-2015
Pros: Nice rooms and facilities
Cons: See above
Loved the place, but not much going on in Summerland. If you have kids, you'll feel at home. If you don't, this place may make you glad you dont. Pool area is a little out of control with kid noise at all hours. The resort should consider some quiet hours and also an age requirement for the hot tub. It's not ok to have non potty trained kids in there and the tub was full of them. Other than those things, a great spot.

awesome

Posted 20-Jul-2015
Pros: Great rooms, staff and pool!
Cons: nice if restaurant next door was also open for breakfast. Beach area could use some improvements!
Location: Great wineries close by, and town is just a few minutes drive up the hill!
Summerland Resort is one of the nicest, quietest resorts we've stayed at. The staff are excellent, management very caring of their guests and it shows through the pride in the work ethics of the hotel staff. Excellent job everyone, can't wait to go back.

Beautiful hotel

Posted 20-Jul-2015
It's a gorgeous hotel; had a partial view. I wouldn't choose the bluff side, it's just of a hill.
