Needed a comfortable place in Summerland

Posted 14-Sep-2016
Pros: breakfast room well run and staff was more friendly to guests than front desk people.
Cons: see above
Location: we used he overnight stay as a jumping-off point for a drive on the old Kettle Valley back road from Summerland to Princeton. Spectacular!
Difficult to find along waterfront drive: poor signage both for property and once there, for office. Staff very pleasant but unwilling to assist [in advance] with restaurant reservations. We arrived late and wanted to be sure of food availability. In the end the "Grill" was open and provided perfectly decent service, but there seems to be no sure link between hotel and the restaurant on its own grounds. Hot water system had failed when we arrived, and hotel internet connection did not work because it had not been re-set following recent power failure. Otherwise, the room was fine, very comfortable, obviously more than we required for a one night stay, bu that was our decision. It was beautifully located, if the rainy night had allowed us the pleasure of the magnificent lakeside view.

Exactly what I needed!

Posted 8-Sep-2016
I was looking for a convenient location, comfortable bed, current tv to watch the latest episode of a show I've been watching, an after dinner hot tub and a relaxing and beautiful view. This little oasis is close to amazing local restaurants and I will definitely stay here again!

Quick getaway

The hotel exceeded our expectations Plan to do a lot of driving though as there isn't much available that is close by. Cabs are very expensive.

Overall nice experience

Posted 29-Aug-2016
Pros: Overall quite clean.
Cons: The grout needs to be replaced in all major areas. Shower/tub, hot tub etc. Starting to show some wear and tear.
Location: Nice sandy beach and water park is great for families with toddlers about 5 min walk from hotel
There were a lot of fruit flies in our room, but that was about the worst of it. Overall nice area, some great beaches for kids about 5 min walk away. We enjoyed our stay and would go again.

Beautiful beachfront resort

Posted 26-Aug-2016
A wonderful place to visit for families. The resort offers many activities for children and the staff are friendly and helpful. They offer crafts, videos, sports equipment, water sport lessons. It is located right along the shores of warm OK lake. A walking path leads from the hotel to a park, water park, beaches, dog beach and three docks - perfect for children to jump into the water and swim! Fires on the warm breezy nights watching the sunset are just spectacular. Love bringing my kids to visit here every summer!

Great Location!

Posted 23-Aug-2016
Pros: Pool and boat dock
Cons: Beach in-front of property is very disappointing. Boat dock in-front could have more available equipment on the dock rather than have to ask for it
Location: Water sports, equipment rental, dining, bike ride down the shore
We brought our boat so it was very convenient to have the boat dock right in front for only $50 per night. Pool is great later in the day when the hot son moves around the building. Restaurant next door is nice but wish there were other options nearby. Yacht club and public beach right next door and quick drive to Penticton

Beautiful resort on the lake

Posted 22-Aug-2016
Pros: On the lake but quite close to town of Summerland. Lovely rooms and friendly staff.
Location: Water sports, walking and biking trails and other beaches close by.
We stayed there for a family reunion and it was the perfect place. The staff were wonderful and made the whole weekend a huge success .

Family Vacation

Posted 10-Aug-2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: We were on the 3rd floor and our bedroom had a skylight that was very bright first thing in the Am.
Location: Only 1 restaurant on the property and you have to make reservations to get in. Have to drive to grocery store, however great to walk to playgrounds.
Summerland resort is a wonderful place to go on vacation. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We were traveling with our daughter so we appreciated the kitchen and the big pull out couch. The pool is wonderful, however east facing so not a lot of sun past 3pm. Was great being lake side. The resort had lot's of fun family activities and you can walk along the lake to playgrounds and water parks. Definitely worth the price. We will be back!

A great getaway

Posted 7-Aug-2016
The hotel is a great place to stay as it is conveniently located for a relaxing vacation to the beach or to experience some wineries. The rooms and the pool are clean. The bathrooms and furniture could be more updated but still in good condition. Overall the hotel has some great amenities for a wonderful stay.
